Except you don't even READ the articles you link. You intentionally give misinformation and then we actually read the articles, see what they ACTUALLY said, and then call you out of your bullshit. Enough is enough. We've all figured out a long time ago that its just an act. Drop the shenanigans. Remember when he posted that article about Marvel and Miley Cyrus? Well, turned out that the article was about Sylvester Stallone and DC-Fan simply switched names around. Why does that remind me of shameless lies/manipulation that was pulled off by 'Jem and the Holograms' live-action crews? Hilariously, he could have actually done an honest version of that topic, because Miley Cyrus actually was in Guardians 2... for one sentence. She's the voice of the severed robot head hanging out with Sylvester Stallone's reunited Guardians group in his midcredits scene.

Well, it all started back in 2008 after Iron Man was released, many MCU fans swarmed the TDK boards and said that Iron Man grossed more than Batman Begins and said that TDK would never match Iron Man. I don't care about who started it. I'm tired of both fandoms acting like children. I was just answering your question ("Why does everything gotta be a dick measuring contest between marvel and DC fans?") By the way if you actually care about female representation in comic book films, why the hostility towards Captain Marvel? Who said I have any hostility towards Captain Marvel? All I've said is that MCU wouldn't have even made Captain Marvel or any other female-led superhero movie if WB hadn't announced a Wonder Woman movie first, which (as I've proven from the links that I provided) is true and accurate.I'm always unbiased and fair and have never rated a movie before I've seen it. So I have no judgment about Captain Marvel. But I will say that I hope MCU doesn't feel the need to put make Captain Marvel into Iron Man 5 by putting Tony Stark in the beginning, middle, and end of Captain Marvel and having Iron Man rescue Captain Marvel multiple times in the movie like they did with SMH. If MCU is finally going to make a female-led superhero movie, then don't turn her into a supporting character who needs to be rescued by another male superhero, like SMH did.

Also, just as many female led series as male? Heh, funny. Most female led comic book series are either mini-series or short lived. And most of the ones in DC are legacy characters or attached to another. Batgirl, Batwoman, Catwoman, The Question (Renee Montoya) are all Batman characters. Even Harley Quinn is a legacy character from the Joker. How many original female led comic books are there? Wonder Woman and... umm... exactly. Wonder Woman and
Witchblade (140 million sales worldwide. Outsold the majority of DC and Marvel superheroes in only 20 years and had a movie with Angelina Jolie attached to play Sara but didn’t go through ‘cause of the sexism of the industry at the time. The fact we haven’t had a ‘Witchblade’ movie is the biggest example of sexism in Hollywood today and something Witchblade writers have talked about. Ron Marz (the creator of Danielle Baptiste who was the co-lead of Witchblade for some time and the Angelus) said he could write a comic book series that sold over a billion copies but if it had a female lead don’t expect to see it on screen in the next 10 years 'cause Hollywood hates strong women. Witchblade was not only a huge success here where you could buy it in all newsagencies and everybody I know knew about it even though it didn't have a movie it also had its own universe which including spinoff series like the Darkness, Aphrodite IX, The Magdalena, Artifacts, the Angelus, the Necromancer, Switch etc). Funny thing about Witchblade too. Read some of the graphic novels and there is a comment from Stan Lee saying it was the best female lead comic book series he ever read and wished he created it himself.
Red Sonja (Over 100 million sales worldwide. Red Sonja was based on Robert E Howard’s 'Red Sonya of Rogatino from ‘The Shadow of Vulture’ in 1934 and Dark Agnes de Chastillon. Debuting In Marvel’s ‘Conan the Barbarian’ Red Sonja has not only gone on to outsell Conan despite an awful movie in the 80s that the director later admitted was written as a parody Red Sonja become her own character owned by Red Sonja LLC which is not owned by the estate of Robert E Howard or affiliated to Conan Properties International and Paradox Entertainment and has a higher estimated value than all three. Red Sonja has one of the highest female readerships of any comic book series today and her series by Gail Simone and Amy Chu have been wieldy praised. Her latest series takes places in modern day New York where Red Sonja rides around on a motorcycle fighting monsters. How we do not have a PROPER Red Sonja movie is a good example of sexism.)
Supergirl (Linda Danvers/Earth Born Angel of Fire. The biggest selling and longest running series of Supergirl of all time. Combined with the sales of Kara Zor-El Supergirl is the second biggest selling female superhero of all time with over 200 million sales worldwide. Linda Danvers was a former drug addict and a member of a demonic cult that killed people and sacrificed them to demons and when her ex, Buzz and the rest of the cult turned on her and tried to sacrifice her the Matrix saved her by merging with Linda Danvers and making her the new Supergirl. In the Linda Danvers series Supergirl fights witches, demons, vampires, monsters, aliens, werewolves and even Lucifer to redeem her darkened soul. Her powers while somewhat similar to Superman included the ability to shapeshift, heal people, teleport, shoot psionic blasts and see the last few seconds of a person’s life by looking into their eyes. She also had Wings of flame when she became the Earth Born Angel of Fire there was a constant battle of good and evil inside of her and at times you didn’t know if she was going to save people or wipe everybody out. There was a movie of ‘Supergirl/Linda Danvers’ in development in the early 00s with Peter David (the creator of Linda Danvers) writing it and Alicia Silverstone was attached to it at one point and the reason it didn’t go through is ‘cause Peter David said one of the heads of Warner Bros didn’t want an edgier Supergirl than Superman on screen.
Vampirella (Over 85 million sales worldwide. Another series that SHOULD have a big budget movie. They didn’t mind giving her male ripoff, Blade three and ripping off ‘Vampirella vs the Cult of Chaos’ for the ‘Blade’ movie either.)
Hack/Slash (Over 40 million sales worldwide according to Image Comics and one of the most successful independent comic book series of the past 20 years. Multiple movies in adaptation that again haven’t gone through due to sexism. The late Wes Craven called it a masterpiece but could he make a movie? No ‘cause studios have long refused to take chances on female lead comic book movies. )
Darkchylde (Outsold Superman, Batman, Spider-Man and X-Men on a monthly basis at its peak and had a movie in development by John Carpenter that didn’t go through due to studios not willing to take a risk on a female lead comic book series. John Carpenter said when he was working on the ‘Darkchylde’ movie ‘Darkchylde’ was one of the best Horror series he had read and Airel had the potential to be one of the most popular female Horror characters of all time with a movie.)
Spider Woman (Marvel’s second biggest selling female superhero. Completely different than Spider-Man. Jessica Drew debuted in her own series by Archie Goodwin in 1977. Unlike Peter Parker Jessica is a former solider, highly skilled combat expert who is experienced in boxing, judo, karate, and capoeira and a deadly assassin trained by the Taskmaster and Hydra. Jessica is more of an antihero and has a history of killing people going back to her first series in the late 70s and in her most recent series was a private investigator and a Mum. Her origin as Spider Woman is completely different than the way Spider-Man got his powers which was from experimentation and she started out as a villain working for Hydra before realizing they were bad and joining SHIELD. She has different powers than Spider-Man which don’t include web swinging but include things like flying, super speed, stamina, agility, reflexes, super hearing and smell, super strength, venom blasts which can pierce solid metals like steel and can kill people like a lightning bolt, pheromone secretion, the ability to control spiders and she is resistant to pain. Jessica Drew and Peter Parker couldn’t be any more different and apart from the Spider name (which more than 13 superheroes share) the difference between Spider-Man and Spider-Woman is like the difference between Green Arrow and Green Lantern. One thing that also separates Spider Woman from Spider-Man is Spider-Man is dependent on having his superpowers and is pretty useless without them. Spider-Woman doesn’t need her powers to take down villains as and villains who thought making her lose her powers would lead to her demise have been in for rude surprises when she still beat them and all their goons.
Tarot: Witch of the Black Rose (Over 30 million sales worldwide)
Batgirl (Third biggest selling female superhero of all time combined with the sales of Birds of Prey which Barbara is the leader of and Batgirl: Batman issues which almost level Wonder Woman according to DC in the 'Batgirl: A Celebration of 50 Years' book. The Post Oracle ‘Batgirl’ New 52 series by Gail Simone which the upcoming movie is being based on was a New York Times No. 1 Best Selling series and 3 of the 5 graphic novels were also New York Times No.1 Best Sellers. While she may share the Bat name Barbara Gordon is nothing like Bruce Wayne. She is not a billionaire or have her own butler. She lives in an apartment with her best friend, Alysia, is the daughter of the commissioner and has a psychotic brother named James Gordon Jr who knows she is Batgirl and is obsessed with her.)
Birds of Prey (Most successful female comic book team up series of all time. Now known as Batgirl and the Birds of Prey. Birds of Prey have a long lineup of members including Batgirl, Black Canary, the Huntress, Lady Blackhawk, Strix, Starling, Katana, Misfit, Gypsy, Catwoman etc)
Rima the Jungle Girl (the inspiration for Sheena: Queen of the Jungle, Shanna the She Devil and Tarzan. Rima debuted in the 1904 novel, ‘Green Mansions’ by W. H. Hudson and had a movie in 1959 where she was played by Audrey Hepburn.)

Every single comic book series here with a few exceptions had movies in development that didn’t go through ‘cause they had female leads meanwhile every male lead series went through. Comic book writers have spoken about sexism in Hollywood and the ‘all mighty penis factor’ that gets movies made by default while the majority of female lead series are never given a chance no matter how successful are. Change the gender of the leads of Witchblade, Red Sonja, Vampirella, Hack/Slash, Fathom, Darkchylde etc and they would all have multiple movies out by now with their sales and popularity. Spinoff characters also count. The Punisher was a spinoff character from 'Spider-Man', Black Panther was a spinoff character from the 'Fantastic Four' and Cyborg is a spinoff character from Teen Titans who doesn't even have as many solo comics out as Raven or Starfire and the current series could be cancelled due to low sales but is still getting a movie.
Series like Ant Man, Thor and Guardians of the Galaxy are only more well known than Ms Marvel 'cause they have movies. I didn't know a single person who even knew of Ant Man or Guardians of the Galaxy before they had their own movies and I know a lot of people (including comic book fans who were big Spawn and Witchblade fans). Ant Man, Guardians of the Galaxy and Thor were not sold here in Australia either but the 'Ms Marvel' series by Brian Reed was along with Spider Woman who I don't know a single person who doesn't know who Spider Woman is. Thor was more well known for being a character from mythology up until Chris Hemsworth played the character.

And some of those are Image comics that went to DC when they bought Wildstorm. A lot of these characters have series/anime/animated series/movies. Not every male character has had a movie in development and it was made. Even the big named characters has had multiple stop and starts. Fathom almost had a movie with Cameron, but that was when he was on his water fetish. And Fathom did sell well for a while, but it drizzled out. Same with Witchbalde. Same with Gen 13. Image comics weren't really made for the long run. They were like anime in that after their 1st big story arc, it was done and only bleeding stories. And about that list of female led books you put down, almost none of them would have made any money. I said legacy character. Not spin-off. Robin, Nightwing, Batgirl, Batwoman, and Huntress are all legacy characters of Batman. Supergirl, Superboy, Steel, Krypto, etc. are all legacy characters. Um, Captain Marvel on recently got a push from Marvel. In like the past 10-15 years. Thor has been a big named character in the comics for decades. Same as Ant-man (but mostly as being a hated character for beating his wife). Guardians weren't as big as they are now, but they were there. Until recently the biggest thing Danvers had was giving Rogue her powers. She basically made another character famous. If one of your comic book fan friends didn't know who Ant-man was, they aren't comic book fans. Or they aren't Marvel comics fans. And maybe they knew who Spawn and Witchblade were because Spawn had a movie and a couple animated series and Witchblade had a tv series and anime series. *Wait, you are in Australia... Nevermind. You guys probably only got half of the comics and stuff from over here in the US. Most of the names in that list must be local or from outside the US.

So you are saying they weren't working on boosting Captain Marvel up? And Brie Larson was announced before comic con. How do you think everyone knew? Don't bother with DC-Fan. He just likes to bend facts in favour of DCEU. Especially since he got his info from someone's blog.

Thor was more well known for being a character from mythology up until Chris Hemsworth played the character.A Vampirella film would be awesome, but they would probably have to change her outfit. I can see it being controversial.

1. Iron Man 5? Did I miss Iron Man 4? 2. Tony Stark was like only in 4 scenes in Homecoming, taking Peter home, scolding him on the night he got attack by the Vulture, scolding him about the ferry incident, and the end, and that's Iron Man centric? 3. I doubt Tony Stark makes an appearance in Captain Marvel since it takes place during the 90s.

Thor was more well known for being a character from mythology up until Chris Hemsworth played the character.I've been a comic book collector for most of my life and I can tell you that pre-cinema adaptation Ant Man, Thor and Guardians were not less known than Ms Marvel. If you know comic book fans that have never heard of them then they either have no knowledge pre-modern age titles and/or are only interested in publications outside Marvel/DC. Ant-Man & Thor were founding members of The Avengers back in 1960, the first incarnation of the Guardians have been around since 1969, and when the second incarnation was released in 2008 it was selling out. A lot of the female titles you mention Lady Death, Chastity, Demon Slayer for example, seem to be partly printed for the titilation of pubescent fanboys - they seem (or at least the copies I have in my collection) to be stuck in the godawful big tits mini waist art representation of women from the 90's . (Some even had "x-rated" pin-up books). Maybe that's why big studios avoided some of them. As for those you mention that are Marvel characters...who owns them? Marvel were terrible at managing there properties for years and it's not as cut and dry as, if it was a Marvel character Marvel own it. Now I admit that Marvel may not have as many top name female characters as DC...but isn't how they are represented far more important than having their name across the top of the cover. Which is better a strong female character part of a team (Storm for example, leader of the X-Men) or a weak embarrassing chauvanistic view of a woman (Wonder Woman for the 25 years after the war...believe me some of those issues have got to be seen to be believed). No the MCU hasn't given a headline film to a female character on the big screen, but the ones they have put on screen have for the most part been strong female characters, moreso than for example Harley Quinn, a scum bag pining for her boyfriend, whilst being sold as eye candy for its male audience. Also, yes DCEU has got to the female led CBM before MCU, but lets look at the Marvel/DC situations as a whole. Counting the films that Marvel had creative input (the first was Blade) they got to their first female led CBM in seven years with Elektra ( a character much better known in the comic book world than Ms Marvel). Their second film was a team film where half the team was female, in fact the X-Men series has been full of female comic book heroes. Probably more in the first few X films than in all of the films based on DC combined Now take the films DC had creative input (Starting with Batman in 1989 when DC came under Warner's umbrella). It took them 15 years to get to a female led comic book - Catwoman. And yes they did make a second one - Wonder Woman - 13 years after that, one more than Marvel. But look at the the whole of that period - there have been 9 headline films for Batman and/or Superman in 28 years. 28 years before they made a headline film for a character that is easily in the Top 3 or 4 of DC's most famous. She is easily in the Top 5 most famous comic book characters of all time (more famous than any of the Marvel characters that have made it to screen with the exception of Spider-Man). Why so long to put such a big name up on the screen? A character with such a high profile and brand. Accusations of sexism can be aimed at either (and probably all) publishers/production companies.

Supergirl and Superman were not produced by Warners. DC were not involved in any of the productions owned by them until they were owned by Warner's. I'm talking about the films where Marvel/DC were involved in the production.

How is he more three-dimensional than Peter?
