He won our hearts finally. Can he rally some Lannister troops with him? Probably not because he is not formally the head of Casterly rock. But anyway it seems like he is heading north himself.

I liked the scene since he finally showed some backbone, but I got confused.
Did Jaime just go to the North by himself?

The show never portrayed him as the head of the House Lannister because he was once a member of the kingsguard. It seems Cersei is the head of Casterly Rock. May be that is why Jaime is going all alone. He has himself to offer for the impending war and he is willing to offer himself.

That was such a good scene...him finally standing up to that cunt and leaving her. But there was some sadness in it as he looked at Kings Landing one last time. I suspect he won't come back.

I think she is trumping his [theoretical] Casterly Rock title as Queen and he is disobeying her (Actually, I have no reason to think Casterly Rock is even theirs anymore)...Or not. Like I said I couldn;t tell.
I wasn't sure what the scene of him on his horse meant.

I think that scene is to just show you he did in fact head north, and also to show winter had come to Kings Landing.

I've like Jaime since season 3 or so. Season 1 he's a dick and season 2 I can't recall much. When Brienne starts escorting him to KL I start to like him.

I should hate him as much as Theon since I apparently don't have much time for redemption arcs of horrible people and he tried to kill Bran (Speaking of which, I wonder if they are going to see each other next season...), but I think he winds up being one of the most complex characters in the show and the book even from season 1.
Ned showed so much disdain for him killing the king plus he clearly had daddy issues that I've probably always had a soft spot for him...& then he goes and kills his cousin.

I have always forgiven Jaime for his weaknesses. I have believed in him when he rose to father status and I wish I could still do.

He's offering himself and providing information about Cersei's backstab. They're still gonna have their hands full in the North, but at least they won't be sitting around wondering why the Lannister troops are taking so long to come up the Kingsroad to aid them, or surprised when they come back south to find that the Golden Company has reinforced the Lannisters. This is important because according to the show, no one in Westeros knows how to scout.

Yes, Jaime had started changing since season 3 but still he was always working for demoness Cersei. While I pitied him for losing his hand and being shadow of a warrior that he was earlier, I never really liked him till he finally asserted himself and got rid of his evil sister.

I hope he'll realise what a terrible decision that was before it's too late.

But in a way I am happy that we can do all sorts of predictions till one and half year. And then it will all end. The books might stretch to 2025 or even later or might never be completed.

Did Pod ever come back after walking off with Bronn at the beginning of that meeting in the dragon pit? I only saw the episode once.

Will have to rewatch the episode again. lol. But I assume that was consistent with Bronn's nature of not being among elitists during serious discussions. Most probably Pod will stick to his duty as a squire and not leave his lady. It's interesting that his cousin was the executioner of Lord Stark but he didn't receive any ill will from northerners. Seems that he has a very acceptable personality and disposition.
