You people sicken me. You get all upset over that savage Vontaze Burfict getting a five game suspension, but you do not care at all about what happened last night at the US Open.
Last night was opening night of the tournament. Top seeds play players ranked 178th in the world. Top seeds earned that privilege. Well, last night the number 2 seed in the women's bracket, Simona Halep, had to play fucking Maria Sharapova -- a five time Grand Slam winner and a top three player in the world! Why would a number 2 have to play a number 3 in opening round? Because the US Open gave that steroid cheating cunt Sharapova a wild card entry into the tournament. Wild cards are given to winners of junior tournaments or 130th ranked players, etc... A wild card is not supposed to be given to a player who was banned for a year and a half for steroid use!
So Simona Halep - number 2 in the world - had to play a number 3 player (one who cheats) in the first round. Now here's where it also sucks for Halep. Tennis players are the rare athlete who earn their money by winning. In the US Open you get paid for each round you win. First round if you win you get $50,000. Halep is the number 2 player in the world. She earned a first round match against some junior qualifier. She earned that $50,000 pay out. But no, the US Open matched her against one of the top players in the world.
Well, Simona lost last night. Number 2 already gone because the tournament wanted a drug cheat in. Sharapova didn't even participate in any qualifying tournaments. The Open just put her in. But you dopes want to bitch about Burfict and his five game suspension.

It's all about ratings. No Serena, they needed her and are happy she won. Shriek.

Yup. I would've been pissed when I saw that draw if I were Halep.

The US Open lost all its credibility the moment they gave a drug cheat a wildcard.
I don't recognise it as a legitimate tennis tournament.
If I was Halep, I'd be thinking about taking legal action against the US Open, the WTA, the Trump administration, the NYPD, Putin, Gorbachev and anyone else I can think of until someone has paid.

On the flip side, doesn't Halep deserve some punishment for getting that breast reduction?

On the flip side, doesn't Halep deserve some punishment for getting that breast reduction? No punishment because Simona must have given her share to Shania last night:

The US Open lost all its credibility the moment they gave a drug cheat a wildcard. Don't know if you are going for sarcasm, but what you say is actually true. It really boggles the mind that a drug cheat would be gifted a berth into the tournament. Obviously the girl after serving her sentence should be allowed to continue in her sport, but she should have to earn a spot in a Grand Slam tournament. US Open really dropped the ball.

No, I hate drug cheats. Throw them in jail. There is a statue in NY called the statue of liberty, well if 'liberty' means giving drug cheats a free pass to your show-piece events you can stick it! She has been off her tits on prescription PEDs for over 10 years, that is a fact. She has been cheating players out of tournaments all this time, many would have had to give up tennis as a result, and we don't know what has become of these girls, some may have turned to drugs, some may have had to turn to prostitution, the truth is we may never the full extent of the damage Maria Sharapova has caused to society during her 10 year reign of terror.

Boy, you sure see the glass half-empty. Girls turned to drugs and prostitution because they had to quit tennis due to Sharapova? Well, isn't it possible that some may have become teachers or nuns or wrote Harry Potter books? Hell, maybe some went on to become porn stars. These girls all lost to Sharapova in the opening rounds of the French, Aussie, US Open, and Wimbledon. I'm glad they did.

While I agree with the main point of your post, regarding Simona, what do the kids say nowadays? Get gud. I didn't watch the match so I have no idea how it played out, but would you have made this post if Simona won? Maybe she needed to play better. Maybe all her skills were in the parts of her breasts that got reduced, a modern-day Samson.

On the flipside of this, Sharapova had no competitive tennis in a year and a half. It wasn't as much of a disadvantage to Halap as you make out, but yeah, I'm not sure it was entirely fair to her otherwise.

As for the lost earnings angle, Halep has already made $18 mil. I doubt she's short of a few bob.

would you have made this post if Simona won? Of course I would have. Uhh, if a boxer uses steroids and loses, guess what? He used steroids and is a cheat! If Simona had won and overcome this outrageous situation, guess what? It still would have been an outrageous situation. Outcome does not matter. Just watch tonight's tennis. Federer - ranked 2, same as Simona -- in his opening match is playing a guy with a lifetime professional record of 7-25! Simona in her opening match had to play a five time Grand Slam winner and a woman with a lifetime professional record of 607-148. In opening round Fed gets a guy with just 7 wins and Simona gets an opponent with 607 wins! Absolutely insane.
