Making the villain the star of the movie just means you had no faith in the hero to be worth watching, DC's way of doing things for decades. No, having weak villains who get defeated by silly dance-offs means you have no faith in your "hero" being able to battle a formidable villain because your "hero" is really weak. But Ronan wasn't defeated by a dance-off.

the other Marvel villains may be lack-luster, but none are as truly dreadful as the Jesse Eisenberg Lex Luthor. That one takes the cake for all eternity. Nope. Nothing is worse than Mandarin. But that wasn't the Mandarin. But hey before the reveal he at least came off threatening, something which Eisenberg's Lex did not.

The Mandarin IM3 wasn't the villain. The character was an actor with a substance-abuse problem. You missed that? The Oscar winning actor, Ben Kingsley, did a fine job portraying a drug addled pawn who had no idea what he was into. He won a Saturn award for it. On the flip side, Jesse Eisenberg won a Golden Raspberry Award for Worst Supporting Actor of the year. So, you're wrong. Again. On numerous counts. ... Again. That's the DCEU for you, turning Oscar Nominess into Golden Raspberry Winners.

Zod started out interesting, but by the time he got to Earth he was just another cookie-cutter bad guy who wanted to blow up the world. Loki is probably the best of the MCU/DCEU movie villains. Unpredictable, charismatic ... and well played by Tom Hiddleston. Some of the other Marvel villains may be lack-luster, but none are as truly dreadful as the Jesse Eisenberg Lex Luthor. That one takes the cake for all eternity. Actually, there is one villain that is more dreadful than Eisenberg's Lex Luthor - Doctor Doom from 'Fant4stic'.

"what the f**k am I looking at?! " And both films had some of the worst third acts in not just superhero movies, but movies in general. Though Fant4stic makes Suicide Squad look like Citizen Kane by comparison.

Agreed with everything you wrote. At least you get SOME enjoyment from 'Suicide Squad' and I will have to say that production values looked nice. 'Fant4stic'? Yeah, that one was a train wreck in all categories. Never in my life I've seen a big-budget film ($100 million+) that had absolutely no redeeming quality whatsoever.

Exactly, Will Smith and Margot Robbie gave pretty good performances, plus the makeup was good which is why it won the Oscar. I guess you can say Michael B. Jordan tried his best to act his way in terrible script. The rest of the cast phoned it in. Luckily Jordan will be in a much better superhero movie. Seriously, even that awesome Black Panther trailer was better than the entirety of Fant4stic.

He took Chris Evans' advice, "You were the Human Torch in a not-so-good CBM? Just get really ripped and get a part in a better Marvel movie."

I watched Captain America last night for the first time in a while. Red Skull was a good villain.

Joking around doesn't matter he was still only a decent villain. I like how you try to say Disney villains as if it's a bad thing when many animated Disney movies have had great villains. Apparently, a film is only good if everyone in it is miserable and frowning all the time.
