Ok, so it's completely baffling why you guys try to make it sound like humor is a bad thing, and here's an example.
I've started going to dinner theaters to watch these, because they are events. You have snacks, you're at a table, you have drinks, you have dinner, and everybody in the theater is having a great fucking time. People are laughing, people are gasping at reveals and first character appearances, it's an amazing great time at any of these.
And somehow you want to make them all serious films? I don't get it. They aren't supposed to be wall to wall intense and serious. They aren't terminator films, or alien films. They're lighter fun adventure films.
I feel like you are missing the point, but then trying to blame it on the films, and I just hope you get over it and enjoy it while you still have time.
Indiana Jones for example has a light tone, but they don't go overboard with jokes 24/7 Marvel doesn't go overboard either. It's just a different style. I don't know why you're acting like it's a bad thing. I really don't. I wouldn't change a thing.

That sounds pretty fucking awesome. Watching an MCU movie at a dinner theater. I wish my multiplex sold dinner plates, but tickets are probably expensive. The tickets are actually pretty normal, you're just paying for food, and you should definitely try it if you can. Alamo Draft House in San Antonio is great. There is an AMC dine in theater at Disney Springs in Orlando which is excellent. Just google it and see if there is one near you. I highly recommend it.

You're acting like they aren't doing something well, when they're hitting the mark. I seriously don't know why the humor bothers you so much, but they're doing what they set out to do.

And no, that's not a problem of mine The thing is that everybody has a different definition of balance. So if they got the balance right for you, it would be off for somebody else, and they didn't make the film specifically for you. So yes, it is a you problem. Just relax. They've done a fantastic job. I just don't understand thinking that finding things that bug you about it is a good thing, when you have the privilege of enjoying the greatest comic film series ever.

I will watch Ragnorok and maybe even enjoy it. The general aesthetic looks better. I’ve watched most MCU films at the cinema. But I am still critical of them. Very critical of many of them in fact.

I can't imagine sitting around complaining about something that has been so good. I really have no interest in that.

Like a dog chasing it’s tail screaming ‘Arf, arf’. Just kidding. I like and admire your devotion to the MCU. Just once I’d like to hear you criticise one thing about one of its films.

I think the only think I'd criticize a little would be some of the things in Incredible Hulk, like the Army just starts a war on a college campus they didn't evacuate? But even then that makes sense for Ross's character at least slightly and the only thing would be how he's able to get away with doing it. That's about the only thing that stands out to me really.
I don't know what else you want me to criticize, or think is worthy of any serious criticism.

You act like complaining is something I'm just I'm obligated to do and that there is no way I'm honestly approving of everything they have done.
What I don't take seriously are people who regularly make nit picky complaints, and I seriously don't think there is anything more than that. That's an honest opinion.

Man I wish I lived near a theater that had a dinner thing. Hell I wish there was one that served alcohol! Imagine drinking while watching Suicide Squad, Transformers: The Last Knight or even Resident Evil Final chapter, it would help with the viewing. We got one fifteen minutes away. It was the shittiest AMC theater you'd ever see for years until a new one opened up and started taking away customers. It's got everything mate.

Man, Thor: Fragglerok sounds even dumber than previous installments.

So an overall positive response, no one saying "This movie is tone-deaf in how serious it should be"....sounds great! No, it means that even the shills don’t want to risk their credibility by praising the film. ‘Funny’ is a safe way of avoiding the truth that’s it’s ‘silly’. So is Star Wars, Star Trek, LOTR, Dr Who...is you want to be that way.

Please, if the MCU did Indy's "Shoot the Swordsman" scene you'd condemn it as "silly and kiddy". Nah, they already did a version of that in Ironman 1 with the terrorists and it was fine. It doesn't demean the villains If Ghost Rider showed up and roasted a man alive with Hellfire in an MCU movie (as he's done so in Agents of SHIELD) you'd write it off as kiddy.

They're more expensive but they actually have waiters serve you food and drinks(alcoholic). Along with reclining leather seats.
