Domestically it has wound down to where it probably has around $20 mill left. Not sure on the worldwide. Thor has always done more foreign business Thor was close to 60% foreign Dark World made 68% foreign. So far Ragnarok is running 65% foreign So to iterate...Ragnarok has royally exceeded expectations. Right now everyone is wondering who is dying in the next movies. Thor keeps coming up. With this amount of money?

Thor's grand total will suffer from that Disney movie coming out in three weeks. Ugh, I hate to root against movies or anything but I'd honestly be pleased if Star Wars was just a giant flop. (I know it won't be but I can dream) I'm just so sick of Star Wars and it being talked about all the time on movie youtube shows I watch. If Daisy Ridley stubbed her toe on set it would be covered as news people are so far up Star Wars' ass at this point. I just want it to all go away. This all sounds quite grand to me. A great time to be into geek things. In the "good old days" there was no where to go to hear people talk about stuff like that...except the local comics shop. I can always skip the stuff I'm not interested in. Yet another marvelous thing about modern life....I can skip ahead in a Youtube video.

That's kinda what I'm saying. Let's say Thor ends up with 115 and JL gets 120. That has to be concerning for DC. Wow....how the world has changed in 2 weeks. It used to be that Thor even being close to a JL movie would be kinda embarrasing for DC. But a Thor movie beating a JL movie? That wasn't possible last week. A JL movie failing to break 100m on its opening weekend and not getting close to a Thor movie? That was not credible enough to even be fiction. Yet here we are. What was known is now turned on its head. And it gets even better. There's a more than decent chance JL won't pass The Dark World or a very random character like Doctor Strange. As much as people say Thor is a B character, Doctor Strange is definitely less well known.

Ragnarok to $816 and with only a 42.7% drop. In fact it's averaging only a 45% drop each weekend. Those are some solid legs. It'll fly past WW soon and I've been saying it gets to $850 all along, but I think it's going to do a little better. Marvel is snuggling into that 850-900 range every single time.

And that just proves how little brains or integrity the average moviegoer has these days. Days of Future Past was a much better film, far more deserving of those numbers.

There's no need to belittle people just for going to see an enjoyable summer blockbuster. The worlds full of enough depressing things as it is, there's no harm in people going to see a fun movie.

And yet...the public just won't come around to the "genius" of Fox, will they? Being a fan of Fox CBMs means you are in the excuse business. They need a LOT of them.

Made for the family, they had stuff stuck in there the adults could laugh at that the kids didn't get. YOU think Days of Future Past is better. I don't. I've never been a huge X-Men fan. So just keep telling yourself the X-Men movies appeal to a more intelligent audience. Sorry you need that sort of an ego boost
