Why anyone still pays any attention whatsoever to critics is a mystery. Critics made sense in the pre-Internet days when they were one of the only ways to find out something about the movies that were coming out. It's no longer the pre-Internet days.

come on don't be such a sore loser, harpo. You lost to the best. Take it like a man already. In the end you are the one who proved that asteroids always fall into a crater, nobody can take that from you. You must root for those elementary school soccer teams where "everyone gets a medal". We are going to need someone to provide some evidence here before claiming this much sought after "victory". So far we've seen nothing but avoiding that very thing as strongly as possible while retreating to ad hominem "you're stupid" tactics. It's not close to being a convincing argument. Again...if it's such a simple thing, then why is it so hard to get you guys to back it up? I can wait if you need to search around for this alleged obvious fact. Them claiming victory over something is a way to try and make you stop or change the subject. If you move on from getting him to say what the best movie of all time is and focus on them winning an argument then they've won. I mean caulden immediately backed down when you tried to get him to explain himself. They love to change the subject to something else. DC-Fan is a master of this. You don't even notice you are in the wormhole until 5 posts later.

harpospoke is actually right... You can't say which movie is the best movie, because different movies is the best movie to different people. You can say which movie is technically better, but that would only be because technology. So that would discount older movies. I mean, you guys keep going on about BvS being the best comic book movie of last year when that movie was on nobody's list of top movies of the year. There's no objectively better when it comes to technical stuff/technique either. That's still simply a matter of whether individuals prefer one thing to another, and different individuals have different preferences.

This whole critics standing up to Disney thing reminds me of the ending of the train scene in Spider-man 2. All the passengers standing up for Spider-man when Dr. Octopus comes for him (one guy even swallows spit in fear). Then Doc Ock just moves them all out of the way.

At least where I come from, and it's called football here, old sport. I am personally still waiting for proof of all the unstubstantiated claims you made. You want even more proof? That's easy. Is BvS a good movie or a bad movie? Or how about this....you ready to accept these alleged "measurements" this week for JL? The reviews are coming from the "experts" and they know what "good movies" are, right?

It doesn't really work with technical stuff either as you pointed out. What is a "better camera shot"? What is "better lighting"? What is "better cinematography"? All those depend on what you like and would be different for every person just like "better acting".
