Nolan's Batman wasn't her interesting....Nolan fell into the trap of making the villains the real stars of his movies. I can get behind that a little, but they were still great movies. I felt Bale was a good Bruce, but a bad Batman. I still prefer Keaton. Still, The Dark Knight is objectively the best Batman movie. Neh Batman Begins is better.

Yeah I don't understand why these movies need to be nominated for awards to be considered good or anything. I mean they're summer blockbuster movies intent on entertaining the audience that goes to see them. It's like saying Bad Boys isn't a good movie because it wasn't nominated for an Oscar. Give me these types of movies any day over Oscar films. Every year I see these Oscar nominations and I'm lucky to have even seen one of the films or even have an interest in seeing one of them. I see some of the favorites for it this year and the only one I have any interest in ever watching is The Big Sick. I'm not including Wonder Woman in this because I seriously doubt it's even a real consideration for nomination. Same goes for Logan. Agreed. There is a systematic bias in favor of any movie that is "dark", "angst", or "important". Negative emotions are regarded as being superior to positive emotions. And not just in movies. We get the same thing with music. A song full of sadness or anger is automatically considered superior to a happy song. I've certainly loved a ton of "Oscar bait" movies though. But the idea that a comedy can never be the best picture any given year is absurd to me. I'll take Duck Soup by the Marx Brothers every day over The English Patient, Shakespeare in Love, No Country for Old Men, The Hurt Locker, The King's Speech, Moonlight, or Birdman. And it's not close. No one came close to giving the Marx Brothers an Oscar...until most of them were dead. Then they got a "special Oscar". ...Which is another way of saying, "Oh crap...we screwed this one up!" I can get behind that a little, but they were still great movies. I felt Bale was a good Bruce, but a bad Batman. I still prefer Keaton. Still, The Dark Knight is objectively the best Batman movie. Neh Batman Begins is better. Yeah, that's my favorite Batman movie. I like TDK when Ledger is onscreen but it gets really tedious when he isn't there. It felt longer when I watched it a 2nd time. Is it 5 hours long? I'll be honest....I like JL more than TDK. It certainly entertained me more and I know I'll watch it more in the future (probably will never watch TDK again).
