7/10 for me. Hulk was my first superhero and has always been special to me. I love the Jekyl/Hyde theme.
That being said the movie is fine but nothing special. So fanboy vs critical watcher of movies brings me to a 6. I'll add a bonuspoint for the inclusion of the Lonely Man theme from the 70/80's tv show.

A 6.5/10.
A decent movie and pretty entertaining, mostly solid but the worst out of all the MCU movies largely because of Edward Norton.
The MCU has had spot on casting with all its heroes except Edward Norton. The guy wasn't likable and just seemed bored playing the role.
It did have a good final battle though which is something that most MCU movies severely lack even now.

Ok...nothing was said about the endings, just that they have weak final fight scenes. The Incredible Hulk has a good one. |

Anyhow I give the film a 8/10. Not as good as Iron Man, but still entertaining. Definitely prefer mark ruffalo as Bruce banner over Edward Norton.
Also the film did have a better end fight compared to Iron Man.

Mediocre.
The tone is all over the place. Strangely enough, being an MCU movie, I actually think it takes itself a bit too seriously.
I actually think the final battle sucks. The stakes are extremely low and Abomination looks as bad as BvS's Doomsday.
The villain also has no ties to the protagonist. He's just a dude that's there and wants to be Hulk. They should've made Ross into Red Hulk instead.

I do enjoy it and that is a "good" score even though it's the lowest it's good and the lowest I'd give any film in the MCU. There are some really good scenes, but it never gets inventive I'd say. I'd almost rather have a more clever ending than just a big fight, although the fight was good. |
