Pretty sure the implication was clear.
They didn't make an implication. According to the synopsis for the movie Steppenwolf attempted to retrieve the Mother Boxes after Darkseid ordered him to do so.
There wasn't anything in the movie to suggest he only came to Earth after Superman died because he was scared of him.
I'm sure he'd have found out on his own, and even if he had to ask...that just means that the other characters were there to provide exposition.
It would be unlikely, he doesn't know about the Themyscira and surely wouldn't know about Atlantis. Seeing as Steppenwolf has the Boom Tube and can simply show up and take it then it would have been taken before Superman even knew it was in danger.
They didn't really match them, they were losing against a very small force.
It was an equally small amount of Amazon's too, a few dozen compared to what seemed like thousands in Justice League. They also weren't losing, as the Germans were taken out first with Wonder Woman doing little. You saw a couple Amazon's take out a whole bunch of soldiers just by themselves.
Then SHOW, don't tell.
That doesn't apply to Green Lantern. It applies to Steppenwolf who they showed kill the Green Lantern easily.
Or, WW's power levels were deliberately messed up to keep her from upstaging Superman.
There was nothing to suggest her powers were unchanged. Just that the old assumption that Superman was on her level before was incorrect as the new information shows.
But the point is that the powers she showed against Ares didn't match up with the power she showed in JL.
Well regardless of what abilities she may or may not have shown in each movie, the simple fact of what they were getting at is that Wonder Woman could not beat Steppenwolf but had beaten Ares.
Which obviously means Steppenwolf is a lot more powerful than Ares which fits with the flashback scene.
What they were doing was aiming for the Arc Reactor with close range blows, and the prior damage done to the interior would've been enough to mess with the power systems powering the suit in the first place.
No I'm talking about how Captain America was punching Iron Man in the face repeatedly and giving him all heaps of trouble, rocking him around.
A much earlier model of that suit didn't take a scratch from a Tank missile. He seemed to take less damage being hit by Thor in an older suit.
Didn't know who she was = Not fighting at full ability.
No Elektra didn't know who Daredevil was, so she would have been fighting at full ability yet didn't knock out Daredevil even when he wasn't wearing his costume.
Apparently Daredevil is tougher than Luke Cage.
But that was an AU, we've had AUs where Shazam WAS as powerful as Superman. Kingdom Come, for example.
Well the DCEU is an alternate universe as well though and that seems to share this same idea that Superman is above the other heroes.
