I never saw bad news bears...but it did feel like something else...couldn't pin it down. Like Xavier was Burgess Meredith from Grumpy Old Men, but not as funny. Or maybe it was Abe Vigoda from Look Who's Talking. The grumpy old guy & kid worked better in Hunt for the Wilderpeople.

The Weinstein fallout means that for political reasons they put WW on there. It's a film about a strong female woman, so critics and other Hollywood types are clinging to it as a way of saying "See, we're not ALL misogynists!" Pretty sure WW is there because according to the Baynesian model, it’s technically the highest rated superhero movie. Only the delusional and the desperate would ever believe Bayes' Theorem is a legitimate measurement of quality.

Bayes Theorem is taught at most major universities that have a Statistics Department so it's a valid and legitimate measurement. Seems that you're the one who is delusional and desperate to make excuses.

No, Bayes' Theorem isn't flawed. The author of the article just doesn't know how to apply Bayes' Theorem correctly.

Yes, Bayes' Theorem is flawed. Fixed.

It probably got more votes. Maybe voters thought it would make more sense to show up then Logan. It is a "pioneer" superhero film in some regards after all.

Explain to me how the outcome of a probability calculation can equate to a measurement of the quality of art? Then when you have done that, tell me why none of the parameters used or calculations made are on show for people to peruse.

I have a B.A. in Applied Mathematics from UC Berkeley. In addition to the standard Calculus classes, I had to take 5 required advanced math classes (Linear Algebra, Abstract Algebra, Real Analysis, Complex Analysis, and Numerical Analysis) as well as 3 elective courses in an applied area (e.g. Actuarial Science, Computer Science, Economics, Geophysics, Operations Research, Probability and Statistics, etc.). I choose to take my 3 elective courses in Probability and Statistics.

They want to recognize Wonder Woman as the first commercially successful female-lead comic book movie

Just another unverifiable delusion ... like the time a gang of Patriots fans beat him senseless, with a variety of sports paraphernalia, outside a Hooters. The fact that DC-Fanboy flees whenever challenged on this Bayes Theorem stuff is a pretty clear indication that the only time he's stepped foot in a college class room was to sweep the floors and empty the trash.

Why did they use sports paraphernalia? Do you think he is trying to work some metaphors into his trolling? I don't know if it is just me but I sense he has a similar type of energy to Joby_Dimms.

It's also missing Blade Runner 2049, John Wick: Chapter 2, Split, and some other actually good movies. Ugh, Blade Runner 2049 is missing from a lot of lists that have been coming out lately. Just before the movie came out the critics were cumming all over how good it was, then it flopped box-office wise and now everyone has forgotten about it. People have bad memories. BR2049 is an awesome movie that deserves to be remembered, and I honestly believe that it should be nominated as one of the best movies of this year. I think this link may be the answer to your problems
