User Reviews are the next thing Col and company have destroyed: 'Today we are announcing changes to User Reviews as part of the broader site update announcement (https://getsatisfaction.com/imdb/topics/upcoming-changes-to-several-imdb-features-du6man1opd5q0). After in-depth discussion and examination, we have decided to simplify the features and functionality for reviews as follows: -We have removed sorts and filters. “Your Reviews” is now ordered by date and reviews on each Title sub page are ordered by Helpfulness. -We have removed the Index view. -We updated the way that reviews with spoilers are displayed.' getsatisfaction.com/imdb/topics/update-to-user-reviews

Wonder when they'll ever get around to upgrading the site for types of information they overlooked, and for which most contributors have been hounding them - in vain - for the past couple of decades.

Pretty soon the only thing left at IMDB will be the letter I.

How lame. Amazing how they willfully destroyed their site like that. I bet Disney pushed for the changes to prevent people from seeing lousy reviews for their films-especially the new Star Wars.

I think we can say that we can say that IMDB has pushed the self destruct button.

While we are at it we have a new feature where you can suck peanuts out of our ass for any future service.

I think we can say that we can say that IMDB has pushed the self destruct button. I would be glad to push this for them at IMDb.

User Reviews are the next thing Col and company have destroyed I think it's just a matter of time before they eliminate user accounts altogether.

Sorted by date ?
That explains it. I tried to find one of my reviews today.
I thought I had done something wrong.
With my massive collection of reviews posted for YEARS, I had to page through the now jumbled pile of them 'til I accidently got where I was going.
This is almost as stupid as them sorting "THE" movies under "T".

As I mentioned on Film General, it used to be possible to look up the filmography of a production company or distributor. This was useful for me, for example, when researching the historically important 1940s-1950s DuMont Television Network or the fascinating 1940s film distributor Sack Amusement Enterprises. However, now one has to have an IMDb Pro account to access this information. Really bugs me.

If they had just employed a full time Admin and moderators they would have been able to keep their board open and not lose all their traffic. This board is proof of that since we have a good Admin that doesn't allow the trolls and cyberbullies to overrun the place like many of the boards on IMDB.

I only visit that site to vote on recent movies. It used to be one of my top 3 visited sites about a 1.5 ago. Let it burn.

That may be the lowest blow yet Collie's struck at serious film buffs, researchers and contributors. Certainly the stupidest move, insofar as maintaining any loyalty among them. Maybe, though, he's trying to hide the fact that so many of those "companies" actually hold the product of several which just happen to have the same name, or something close, which is one of those things he's never bothered to deal with over the decades, despite numerous complaints from those very user groups he's just further insulted.

There won't be an IMDb before long, the way things are going.
To think that just 12 months ago it was a bustling place. Now its a burning wreck!

Speaking of reviews, it looks like they also removed the "rated episodes" feature (which would show a TV show's episodes ranked by rating). I think that was about the last thing I used the site for. Bastards.
