So Thor Ragnarok was expected to beat JL all the time.
Thats the first time I heard that. Especially because JL was supossed to make Avengers numbers.

He actually said that. Repeatedly. That's something that was happening.

That's something that was happening. No I never said that. Justice League was projected to open worse than what Thor Ragnarok opened to. That's a fact whether you like it or not.

We weren't talking about the projection. The projection was the surprising part. When are you going to catch on?

We weren't talking about the projection. The projection was the surprising part. When are you going to catch on? No the projection wasn't surprising. That fit in line with most expectations on the Box Office Discusson forums and as a holiday norm multiplier fit in line with the $300-310 million final total that was predicted on HSX. It might have been surprising to you because you aren't familiar with the topic but yeah it was about what was expected. More than Wonder Woman and less than Suicide Squad. The actual gross was surprising however.

Yeah I just said that it's actual gross was a surprise. So was the projection.
Come back when you can finally deal with that.

Nah the projection was expected. You of course would have no idea at all what was expected though as you're unfamiliar with the topic which was why you kept questioning me about Spider-man Homecoming's box office a few months back. But I suppose from your point of view you really need to enforce this idea that it was drastically lower than what everyone thought even though you had no idea what HSX even was until I told you about it.

The numbers are interesting...
Thor Ragnarok wins the overall take added together and the foreign market taken alone. But the domestic market still leans heavily towards Wonder Woman. Its still over a 100 mil difference in the US in favor of Wondy (as of 12-13-17) . Why is that? Does Gal Gadot being Israelian really matter that much? Did the "American-ness" of the character turn foreigners off? Is the feminist agenda not as big an issue abroad? Did WB not advertise in other countries as heavily?

They did heavily advertisement overhere. I was travelling through Europe at the time (end of May, early June) and there were billboards everywhere (covered Belgium, France, Switzerland and Italy and I live in the Netherlands) and advertising on tv. Trailer was running in theatres already with Logan. The feminist agenda... that is an issue but not so much in the liberation of women or anything. Its not so heavy a problem because women can already do what they want and achieve what they want here. Hell Merkel and May are the most important leaders here. I think the truth is that Wonder Woman isnt that much of a household name overhere. Much less known than Batman, Superman and the Marvel heroes. Marvel really is king overhere. DC isnt even that well known beside the people who are really into it. #teamcolden
