I think it's probably true of a lot more than the present generation. Seems like more and more tie some part of their identity to others validating their own opinion, regardless of age.
And you had better agree with me, or I'll have to bring it up with my therapist! lol.

...and don't forget there is an annual Christmas time song entitled "Suzy Snowflake" that dates from the 1950's...

Too freakin' pampered and spoiled. No genuine connection to personal human interactions, all electronic media devices and technology that 20yrs or more-so ago, still held novelty value for most people. While the older generations are using this stuff too, they have at least learned to have more balance and insight, due to the experience of not being spoon fed everything. There should be a better name than snowflake (like pussies) for these morons. Remember when Hillary lost the election. Collage kids had to find a quite place. Even some classes were canceled because students could not cope with her loss. What a bunch of idiots.

More like scapegoat generation. Anytime something's fucked up, blame the millennials or anyone born after 1980.

I read some kind of article where kids were triggered over the fact that they were called snowflakes. That was one of the funniest things I've read. So I believe you're right that probably a new term is in order to describe them. Something worse than snowflake

Nah. Snowflake is just a term people use when they want to show no sympathy to their fellow human beings.
Every old generation thinks the younger one is overly sensitive. It's more a commentary on people not being able to accept that society is passing them by.

More like scapegoat generation. Anytime something's fucked up, blame the millennials or anyone born after 1980. Not to mention, older generations act like they had it so much better. As if they weren't responsible for years, if not decades, of racism, sexism, xenophobia, and homophobia. As well as so many of the problems faced by society today are leftovers from problems started by older generations. It's the classic, "Get off my lawn!" old man syndrome. The only difference is the old men are getting youngers. It used to be the 60+ year olds who were complaining about being left behind. Now it's the 30+ year olds who can't handle the rapidly changing cultural and societal norms.

I'm not sure if it's just younger people, I know of many people my age and older who love to wring every ounce of drama out of a situation. They all just want a hug!
