They did it to have content control.

This will be a tactic by known Marvel haters for a reason that is fooling no one. I'll believe this concern about "jobs" when I see the same people campaigning for less R rated movies (because they have a smaller budget and create less jobs) and start campaigning for WB to give some of the DC characters to other studios since WB is not creating enough jobs with those DC characters. FFS, none of this has to do with DC characters. I'm not a fanatic of one side or the other. Just because somebody has a difference of opinion does not all the sudden label them an MCU "hater". I love most of the MCU the same as I loved most of the Fox X-Men movies. DC movies have only produced one film I have enjoyed since Nolan. So by no means am I some sort of hater or fanatic of one side or the other. This is not about sides. But please be quick to try and make it about DC or Marvel because that's all that exists right? I personally don't give two shits what any of you feel about it. I just felt the need to point this out and instead you all turn it into an attack because your feelings got hurt. You clearly don't give a crap if these people lose their jobs. Which makes me believe my original point. Not all of you are fanatics in my mind so if you felt I was lumping you all together I apologize. I'm not on this board everyday or post 1,000 + times to know each and every one of you. But from what I've seen of a few posters (won't point them out) collateral damage in this does not matter because all that matters is X-Men and FF joining the MCU. The same thing can be seen on Twitter. It can be quite annoying. Also, if you then find this thread or my posts in it to be annoying as well by all means be annoyed. It's not going to work. You could have no motivation other than to make people feel bad. Again, I'll believe all this "concern for jobs" when I hear those same people campaigning for more PG-13 movies and less R rated movies. PG-13 movies have a higher budget and employ more people. And where are the protests toward WB that they haven't leased out some of the DC character to other studios so more movies can be made from DC characters? And where were the protests about the WB/AT&T merger? Where were the complaints about Fox and Comcast over the past month? Why just about Disney? So if you think the motivation behind this is not obvious, you can think again. You're seeing Marvel fans celebrating and it bothered you. |

Think of all the jobs that were lost! Think of the children! And Fox too...think of the children who wanted to see a Wolverine movie but were blocked from the theater because Fox decided to make it an R rated movie! Interesting how DC fans attack Marvel for appealing to kids on one hand but now are going to play the "think of the children" card on this one. Hypocrisy and fake complaints. |
