Blame Fox. They were selling regardless. Disney just made the best bid. #teamcolden

It sucks that people are going to lose their jobs from this, but this was probably going to happen no matter who bought fox.

What baffles me in this topic that those people losing their jobs is somehow the MCU fans fault. Or that the MCU fans dont care because they get Marvel to control their own IP again. I really dont see the connection nor the train of thought leading up to these conclusions. #teamcolden

What I'm saying is it just sucks how so many people are going to lose their jobs because of this deal. Was it going to happen in some way shape or form? Probably. But from what I've seen is that none of the MCU fanatics will give a crap about a bunch of faceless or nameless people losing their jobs because they get their wet dream of characters back. If you enjoy that they're back fine. By all means enjoy. But I feel as though people can/should still feel bad about these people that will lose their jobs because of it. I'm not pointing blame. Just sharing how much it sucks that so many people are going to be out of work.

Just from my perspective is that the MCU fanatics simply do not care about anything in regards to this deal outside of the fact that they get characters back. Nothing else matters. The fact that most if not all of these people will be faceless or nameless employees losing their jobs it's like it didn't/won't happen and it'll be easy to over look or forget in the favor of "hooray we got Wolverine back." I just don't think that these poor people should be over looked. In my mind it just sucks and if I'm wrong that the MCU fanatics indeed are sympathetic in this scenario I'll proudly be wrong. It just sure as hell hasn't seemed so. Having been in a situation like this before I can just sympathize with these poor people who likely had zero to do with any of this.

But the same can be said when you have people peacocking about any films failure also, these studios will do what they can to cover for any losses they have and that means fucking with the low man on the totem pole to balance the books, is this a far larger scale? well obviously but it's all still the same thing, why use this to talk down to the fanbase they didn't make this happen aim it at Murdoch's & other suits for caring more about lining their own already overflowing pockets with yet even more unneeded gobs of cash than their employee's.

They were going to lose their jobs no matter what. Do you stand in front of a closed down store and tear up because people lost their jobs? If Paramount bought Fox and the same people lost their jobs, would you be saying the same thing? Or is it an "MCU fanatics" thing? They knew it was coming once Fox said they were going to sell their movie division. To them it was just waiting on the Hunger Games to see who will be staying.

Of course we sympathize, but it's not like we can do anything about it. Nor is it Disney's fault, because FOX was being sold off no matter what and those people were going to lose their jobs anyways.

I'd say send them to Warner Brothers but they probably can't afford to hire that many people at this point.

I may not be a fanatic (Trek will always be King!!!) but I am a fan of the MCU and I did express my doubts about this deal on this very board. And to be honest there was not one post on this board that even suggested in the slightest manner that the MCU fanatics dont care about people losing their jobs. To me this is another example of blind attacking the MCU and its fandom because someone is salty about the fact that their favorite comic book company cant compete on the big screen. Disgusting. So please go and shout at a wall. Maybe you will get some return but leave us in peace. #teamcolden

Shit happens. Regular people lose their jobs every day this is no different if you don't care for them you shouldn't care for the fox people.

You can keep your guilt trip. Not working. Yes we are happy and it's going to stay that way. Maybe you should start attacking DC fans for not campaigning to have other studios take over some of their characters so more movies can be made from DC characters. After all, think of all the jobs that were lost over the past 40 years because WB was only interested in the Batman/Superman family. Some other studio would have been making movies about the Flash, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, etc long ago. But you won't do that, will you? Yet another fake complaint aimed at Marvel.
