I have 'Dead End' and 'black Christmas' and 'Insidious 3' on my list. I have 'krampus' before but it's nothing special. Anyone have any other recommendations.

There's the controversial killer Santa Claus flick Silent Night, Deadly Night. And there was actually another killer Santa film that was made even before that, called Christmas Evil (1980); somehow that one seemed to duck under the radar. But it now has a following.

Better Watch Out (2016)One of the best Christmas horror movies I’ve seen! Get it watched! But don’t read any spoilers! Edit: Just watched the trailer and I wouldn’t watch it I were you. It kinda spoils it.

TALES FROM THE CRYPT (1972) has a nice Chritmas horror tale featuring a killer Santa starring Joan Collins within it's five stories. There is also the fairly watchable pre-BLACK CHRISTMAS yuletide slasher SILENT NIGHT BLOODY NIGHT, also from 1972. I also watch CURSE OF THE CAT PEOPLE every Christmas as the latter part of this wonderful Val Lewton production takes place over the holiday.

Jack Frost? And though more comedy, I would add Gremlins and The Nightmare Before Christmas

For a crime thriller, BLAST OF SILENCE. It's not a horror movie but it is so depressingly grim as a Christmas movie that is straddles the genre line.
Reminds me of Taxi Driver in some ways.

Blast of Silence is playing at the Alamo Drafthouse by me soon. I didn't see the connection at first, but it make sense actually after reading up on it.
Anyway, there's Elves from 1989 which is fucking nuts. It's a crazy, super low rent, crap festival with nazi mutated elf puppets and an alcoholic mall santa. It's a MST3K style deal, but it's actually a great deal of fun. I believe it's on YouTube.
Silent Night, Bloody Night from 1972 is actually pretty cool. It's very atmospheric, although very light on the Christmas imagery, but it has a really nice cold and spooky winter vibe. It also pre-dates most of the Christmas Horror movies around.
I enjoyed Krampus, but if you want something semi similar, but cheaper looking that's also an anthology movie with a wrap around segments starring William Shatner then A Christmas Horror Story is the movie for you. I believe it's still on Netflix.
This year's Christmas episode of Bob's Burgers had a horror vibe to it. Actually last year's did too. I can fully recommend those.
The 'All through the House' segment of Tales from the Crypt mentioned above also has a really solid remake by Robert Zemeckis.
I just watched Red Christmas. It sucks. Don't bother...
Hmm.. what else...?
Oh, there's a perfectly enjoyable, albeit way over the top grindhouse-inspired movie that might be way too on the nose for some called A Cadaver Christmas. It's certainly nothing new or special, but it's enjoyable enough and it's got a perfect amount of Christmassy imagery and atmosphere.
Santa's Slay with the pro wrestler Goldberg is kind of crazy, but ultimately pretty disappointing. The first scene has become a YouTube favorite, and it's pretty funny, but it all kind of goes down hill from there.
There's also Silent Night, which isn't really a remake of Silent Night, Deadly Night, but is reasonably enjoyable as just another version of Santa Slasher movie.
Don't Open till Christmas from 1984 is an especially grim one.
Rare Exports: A Christmas Tale is a really fun and odd movie from Finland. It's got a sort of similar vibe to The Thing in that it has a group of characters in a remote outpost in the arctic (North Pole in this case) and involves some tough guys hunting an abstract evil, in a way. The target of this malevolence is a breed of humans that is ultimately shown to be Santa Clauses. Odd story, but fun and silly in the way it takes itself so very seriously, and is legitimately well made and engaging. It's a fun time.
Not one that I especially like, but the move The Children is a favorite for a lot of people. i found it a bit annoying and kind of dull, but many people seem to like this one a lot.
Of course there's a remake of Black Christmas... but I f-cking hated it. I checked out once the killer made cookies out of someone's skin. Fucking dumb as shit.
There's a crazy little short from the director of Hobo with a Shotgun called Treevenge which is about christmas trees taking their revenge (obviously) against those who cut them down. Weird, but brief enough to be funny.
There's a movie called Sint, translated to Saint in English, that has an evil version of Santa who kidnaps children when there's a full moon or something dumb like that. Kinda weak ultimately, I thohght, but a lot of people seems to like it. It's dumb but at least it looks pretty good.
Hmm... That's about all I can think of that hasn't already been mentioned on this thread, but I know there are more just this year even that I haven't watched yet. No shortage of Christmas movies, including horror movies, but finding decent one is pretty tough.

The Shining is obviously a great movie, and one of the quintessential cold/snowy movies, but it's not Christmassy.
After having seen a couple more, I can recommend that you stay away from Good Tidings, which is cheap and lame, as well as Once Upon a Time at Christmas which also crappy and lame, but is at least a bit more entertaining. You can really tell with both of these though theat they are super cheap productions when they don't even get hot girls for their hot girl parts.
The worst I've seen, and I was shocked that it was even on Amazon Prime after seeing it, was called Christmas Slay. Not a real movie. Don't be fooled by the fact that it's streaming on Amazon. It's not anything at all.
Another crappy low budget one from last year called All Through the House was pretty lame, but a step above some of these other camcorder-shot zero-dollar movies.
Next up will be Better Watch Out, and then Secret Santa if I can find a way to see it.

P2 is another Christmas themed horror thriller. It's nothing spectacular but certainly serves as a watchable time passer in the run up to Christmas.

The Children (2008) is seriously disturbing and takes place on Christmas Day, for extra creepiness.

Christmas Evil if you're looking for something a bit off the beaten trail. I watched it last Christmas Eve and enjoyed myself so much, I watched it again on Christmas morning! (before going out to be with people, of course).

I’m planning on seeing the Black Xmas remake. Though it’s destined to suck, I still wanna see how it goes being a far-and-away different film than the original.
