Just and it seems to be on 24/7 along with Two Broke Girls.
Good news is that they seem to have lost 2 1/2 Men and Anger Management .

The series TRUE BLOOD ( 2008 - 2014 ) . I borrowed it from a friend to view - the first season of it on DVD . IMPO - The characters just didn't click for me at all surprisingly the storyline seemed a bit slow , depressing , and all over the place for me too . Of course only watched 3 to 4 episodes of it to try and give it a chance but it just got worse for me - didn't watch it anymore . Another series I was looking forward to watching but sadly it turned out to be a big disappointment - Six Feet Under ( 2001 - 2005 ) same result 3 episodes in with characters and storyline too - completely underwhelming ( I unfortunately fell for it's excessive yet impressive advertising too ? ) . Thanks joetorrence for your subject post .

Preacher.
Gave up on it about half way through the first episode. The very first scene put me off - talk about low budget sci fi, lol. And watching a show about priests, Father Ted was enough for me.
The Mist.
Watched a couple of episodes and saw people stumbling around in the mist... with nothing happening to them. Um, where are the tentacle monsters?! No tentacle monsters, no viewing from me.
The Blacklist.
I didn't hate it, but it got boring because every episode was the same. "Oh, here's this week's bad guy, let's foil them." Meh.
The Big Bang Theory.
They ruined Sheldon with that Amy woman. And I started noticing the sexism more and more, so I gradually drifted away. Only catch an occasional episode now.
I'm teetering on the edge with Agents of Shield. The last season was really silly and weird, and I had trouble sticking with it. I'm not sure I want to bother with this season.

I'm still struggling to finish Legion. I just watched one the other day. On paper, it sounds great, but it's not your daddy's Marvel comic adaptation, at all! Legion was one of those shows where it began I loved it, but by the end of the season I was starting to lose interest. I still thought overall it had a good first season, but I'm skeptical about season 2.

Community is another one. Watched only the first episode but it wasn't funny. Thought with that cast it would be great, does it improve at all with later episodes?

Oh, and how could I forget! The greatest single television disappointment of the last decade. I refer, of course, to "Star Trek : Discovery".
Could have been great. The second I saw the first teaser trailer showing the ship design, I knew it would not be great. I knew that it would, in fact, utterly suck balls.
But many voices were raised in protest at this opinion. "Give it a chance", they said. And so I did.
And lo, it did sucketh mightily. The sets, the ship designs, the uniform designs, the alleged Klingons, the characters, the actors... all of it ranks amongst the worst garbage one might find lurking at the bottom of a sewer.
I've been a Star Trek fan for forty or so years. So I stuck with it for as long as I could bear. But in the end, I just could not stand to watch these people bending their efforts towards making me use the phrase "raped my childhood" in seriousness for the first time.
SO I tried to watch it, I really did. But I couldn't, and I don't.

I thought it became more interesting once it's story became more coherent. the yellow eyed demon was my favorite baddie last year and actually gave me a nightmare. My biggest problem with the show is I don't actually care about the characters yet.

Person of Interest (gave up after I think 1 or a few episodes) Fringe (gave up some time during season 1 I think) Mr Robot (gave up I think after season 2) Community (gave up early season 3 I think) Scream Queens (gave up early season 2. May finish it one day since it was canceled so there's not much left to watch anyway, but god what a horrible start that season had) Ash vs Evil Dead (gave up after the first season I think)

Vikings- it just annoyed me how they managed to not get more or less anything right. The writers did no fact checking at all.
Game of thrones- could have been good, but with like 99% violence, I lost interest.

Ten Days in the Valley - Kyra's character is so unlikeable I only lasted 2 episodes The Catch - Peter Krause has an excellent track record, but this one was too silly. Not sure about 9-1-1 yet.

The Good Doctor, Vikings, and Fargo. Oh yeah and Walking Dead once I realized they were gonna be in the stupid prison for a while. You stopped while it was still fairly strong. After the prison stuff the writing becomes worse than that of a porno. S7 was abysmal and S8 is so far no better. It's really too bad because the comics still remain great. I'm stuck in the middle of the sixth season--just because I got sidetracked by other stuff awhile ago for long enough that I feel like I need to rewatch the sixth season from the beginning again (partially because I just forgot where I left off) to pick it up again. I still like the series, but I've found it kind of frustrating in that (a) they feel they NEED to kill off some beloved characters every season--I think they could make it interesting without needing to do that, as killing off favorite characters can be as bad as the series ending, and (b) I wish that they would give us more variety in terms of the "set-ups" for the seasons. Not every season has to be the gang finding shelter somewhere relatively isolated, but more or less the same environment--a flat area out in the Georgia woods, with a trickle of newcomers, and then then lose the shelter and have to wander to find the next shelter. That starts to seem too formulaic . . . although that's a problem with the vast majority of TV shows. I want unexpected things to happen though. Why can't the gang wind up in a big city with lots of survivors for a season? I was really hoping that would happen when they were headed to D.C. Why can't they try something unusual like setting up a shelter on an island? Or a mountain top? Some kind of different environment. Just something to break it up a bit, some, creative, unexpected variety.

"Salem" started out good, then went south "The Following".....same thing "Quantico", was too confusing with all the flashbacks If you go back a number of years....."Sliders" was a good series....until it went stupid (must have had new writers)

Most recently, The Punisher. I thought that was pretty bad. Painfully slow and simply not entertaining. Under the Dome, The Mist, and The Expanse are a few others that I can think of off the top of my head.

I still like it, but watching this latest "X-Files" mini-season is making me realize more than ever just how nonsensical the overarching conspiracy stuff can get. It's almost like they'll retcon that gobbledygook a few times over the course of an episode now.
And what happened to explaining the big cliffhanger from the last mini-season? I thought UFOs were over the D.C. skies and people were being abducted? They showed a moment of that in the "previously on the X-Files" thing before the first episode, but then they seemed to just say, "Nah, screw that. We're going to ignore that we went there." Maybe they'll explain in the next few episodes, but I don't know.
The last episode, 11.2--the stuff with the AI/computer simulation Langly--seemed to want to both ignore and acknowledge what happened in 11.1 at the same time . . . at first I thought it must have been set some random time earlier, before the stuff in 11.1 happened, because all of a sudden there's nothing about Scully having seizures or being the hospital and they seem to have zero concern with finding their son, etc. but then it seemed like it was definitely supposed to be after episode 11.1 in the timeline.
The overarching mythology stuff was interesting in a way, but the "make it up as we go along and don't worry about what we said before" approach is fairly absurd at this point (noting that I enjoy absurdism). In any event, I was always glad they broke it up with the standalone "monster of the week" episodes. I wish they'd do full seasons again so they could go back to that.
