Now hate maybe a strong word but these folks have less then flattering things to say about mcu movies or comic book movies today thanks to mcu movies. Let me just count a few. James Mangold

Professional envy, and some are upset that their own movies aren't doing so well in comparison. They want to know what MCU has that they don't. Mangold wants the MCU to be all R Rated, no exceptions. Landis was referring to CBMs in general. Miller? Who? Martin likes the MCU. Nolan dislikes comic book movies that have actual superpowers. Pine is envious. Taylor is upset his MCU movie didn't do as well as the others. Fincher is referring to CBMs in general. Vaughan is a competitor, upset at their success. Rourke is a Diva. Pegg is upset Star Trek isn't doing better. Scorcese hasn't said anything. Neither has Pfeister. DuVernay is upset over not getting 100% of Black Panther. Besson is upset Valerian didn't do better. Ridley Scott hasn't said anything. |

IE, he doesn't like the idea that Studios might want to keep the characters from being violated. |

Is MCU the new 50 shades of grey? sells a lot but hated by many writers like Stephen king just like mcu movies are hated by many films artists? and before you give me bs about mcu 'good reviews'. I don't take reviews praised for fun and jokes as actual authentic good reviews. not with movies like Logan, DOFP, Batman Begins and TDK around. |

Again your reading comprehension is hindering your argumentation. He was not talking about the MCU per se. He was talking about the Sci Fi genre in general. He did mention Comic Book Movies but not the MCU specific. He only used AoU as an example. And he is not attacking the genre, he is basically attacking the audience. And he is not wrong.
Look at BR 2049. Great film but nobody went to see it. Dunkirk made less than F8 of the Furious while its a much better film. But this is not a new thing. The masses are not bright. But hey, most people dont go to the movies to think. Most people go to be entertained. Newsflash for you and Pegg: THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT.

It was his own fault, he wasted time instead of doing his job. Edgar Wright's 'Ant Man' would be a million times better than what we got. I'm happy he left 'Ant Man' though. We got 'Baby Driver' which is far better than most of what the MCU has to offer. |

George Takei hated Beyond because of what they did to his character. I am a huge X-men fan. I think that's why I hate what they have done to those movies. I have been against them since X2 (X1 got a pass). And when has the X-men movies made the MCU look dumb? The MCU has been on top since the beginning. Also never said I never cared about the MCU. You just mad cause I told you that the comic Age of Apocalypse is a retread of DoFP. And that DoFP the movie is Singer rehashing X2 and Terminator 2. It's not DoFP's fault. That's Singer's fault. I bet DoFP wouldn't be a rehash if Vaughn made it. Singer doesn't have an original bone in his body. Why'd you stop at TDK? Why not TDKR? Mangold made The Wolverine, also. Why praise DoFP and not Apocalypse? That's Singer's follow up to DoFP. Oh, because they aren't seen as good, huh? |

Should have said something like Scott Pilgrim I think that's what he made instead of Ant-man. |
