In fact, I think it’s very poor. I don’t know if it sounds authentically African, even if it is it’s not that, maybe it’s just his performance, but he didn’t have much presence. Maybe I would have enjoyed Civil War’s scenes with him if his voice was interesting, more powerful maybe.

I did find him a bit bland in Civil War. I'm also wondering if the fight scenes are going to be boring- it's basically just going to be two dudes in indestructible suits clawing at each other like angry kittens.
The Wakanda mythology is what piques my interest.

I think people complain about accents way too much. They complain about Wanda's accent, WW's accent, Harley's accent and now BP's? Jeeze.

This is why I don't let myself get bothered by accents in films. They're not real. And besides, I'd have to enjoy far fewer Sean Connery performances if I allowed myself to get wrapped up in the fact that he always sounds Scottish, even as an Egyptian pretending to be a Spaniard in Highlander. |
