nutsberryfarm 🏜: wow, cool place! Reminds me of DeLaurenti's at the Pike Place Market in Seattle - an Italian grocery/deli. Fantastic selections. I used to pop in there frequently when I worked in downtown Seattle.

I was introduced to Portuguese food when I lived in Rhode Island many years ago. Huge Portuguese/American population there. My favorite is chourizo which I find is best on a sandwich with fried peppers and onions.

deembastille, I like that brand too. In fact it's the only brand I buy nowadays.

I often buy large "London Broil," top round steaks, because they go on sale at great prices with some regularity. I usually cut them into smaller strips, and freeze them for an occasional small steak to broil. A couple of days ago, there was a buy-one, get-one offer.
I cut one up, and tonight ... with the second one ... I'm going to try a technique that calls for a slow bake (2-2 1/2 hours), at 350, covered in diced tomatoes. The only other ingredient mentioned was some garlic salt. I thought that sounded a bit drab, so I planned to add onions/garlic. Then, I remembered that I have about 1 cup of my "Joy of Cooking" BBQ sauce left. It has more "zippy" flavors. I added that to the tomatoes, and added garlic (which the sauce doesn't have). It's still morning, here, and I'm letting those flavors meld together. I'll give it a shot, starting at about 3:30. We'll see.

Heated up one of these tonight. Very, very good, as far as frozen pizzas go:

Is that a joke or did you really spend hundreds of dollars for a pizza?

Burger and onions on a whole wheat "sandwich skinny" from Aldi's ![](https://i.pinimg.com/736x/31/3a/07/313a07edee7ba8da8a73389bd0d56456--aldi-sandwich.jpg) First try of these... not impressed even when toasted. Spoiled by my home made breads Frozen corn that would have been better used in a soup because it was a but starchy that year. The last of the asparagus frozen in 2016. Chocolate bundt cake with vanilla ice cream.
