Light comedienne June Whitfield has passed away aged 93. Whitfield was a member of the 'Carry On' comedy ensemble.

June Whitfield was also a big TV star here in the UK and became part of the Absolutely Fabulous team in her later years.

Political filmmaker Mrinal Sen has died aged 95. Sen was one of India's greatest filmmakers. Both he and Satyajit Ray directed their own 'Calcutta Trilogy' in the 1970s.

Agneta Eckemyr has passed away at the age of 68. Eckemyr was born in Karlsborg, Sweden on July 2, 1950. She spent several challenging years attending auditions before securing a pivotal role in Ferdinando Baldi's western 'Blindman' (1971). This led to a starring role in Lars-Magnus Lindgren's drama 'The Lion And The Virgin' (1975). Eckemyr also worked on Robert Stevenson's family fantasy 'This Island At The Top Of The World' (1974), the sketch-based comedy compendium 'Kentucky Fried Movie' (1977) and William Richert's political thriller 'Winter Kills' (1979). She later became a successful photographer and fashion designer.

Theatre star Rosenda Monteros has passed away aged 83. Monteros was born in Veracruz, Mexico on August 31, 1935. She acted in Reginald Le Borg's adventure 'The White Orchid' (1954), Paul Henreid's thriller 'A Woman's Devotion' (1956), Luis Bunuel's drama 'Nazarin' (1959), John Sturges' western 'The Magnificent Seven' (1960) and Robert Day's fantasy 'She' (1965).

American actor Robert Kerman has died aged 71. Kerman began a lengthy run appearing in adult entertainments when he shook on a multi-picture agreement with underground filmmaker Roberta Findlay. Hailing from New York, Kerman also appeared in science-fiction, fantasy and horror films directed by Ruggero Deodato, Umberto Lenzi, Armand Mastroianni, Fred Dekker and Sam Raimi.

One actress whose passing got forgotten this past year, but who deserves to be remembered: Georgann Johnson's career spanned Broadway, films, and television from 1952 until she retired in 2007. She passed away on June 4, 2018 at the age of 91 from natural causes. As Paul Newman's wife in the live television production of Bang the Drum Slowly (1956): with John Voight in Midnight Cowboy (1969) with Jason Robards in The Day After (1983) as Sharon Gless' mother in The Trials of Rosie O'Neill (1990-1992) and as Jane Seymour's mother in Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman (1993-1997) She was a wonderful actress with a beautiful spirit. Rest in peace, Georgann. I will remember you forever.
