Raw 3/10
Just checked it out on Netflix. An over sexualized French horror film with grisly violence and absolutely no pay off.

The World’s End 8/10
So full of energy and creativity just like every other Edgar Wright film.

I just watched the first half of London Has Fallen. I'll post again with my final grade when I finish it later today, but so far it's pretty terrible. The are no real characters and the plot goes over the top and then some. It feels like a video game where random enemies spawn everywhere you go. The plot so far is one of the most non-sensical I've ever seen. It also doesn't work that the action looks fake and the editing is very irritating. The first 20 minutes were a 4/10, but now I'm at a 3/10 and I wouldn't be surprised if it drops even further.

I just finished London Has Fallen and it didn't get better. And the worst part was: it was extremely boring, which is surprising because its goal was to be a fun silly entertaining action movie. Even if they're bad, I usually get some enjoyment out of these kind of silly action movies. But here the action is bad and boring and it felt a chore to finish the movie. During of the gun sequences in the last 30 minutes I actually stopped the movie for a few minutes, because it was too boring. I was bored by a supposedly high stakes gun fight! And I'm definitely not someone who is easily bored by movies, this almost never happens. I think London Has Fallen is a pretty good example of how not to make an action movie. No characters, no emotions, no cool action, no entertainment and a 100% stupid, illogical story. I'm going with a 2/10.

Final Destination 5 -- 6.5/10. Much better than 4, but not as good as 2 & 3 in the series. Bridge sequence is pretty righteous, but the later kills have an air of familiarity about them.

The World’s End 8/10 So full of energy and creativity just like every other Edgar Wright film. Gary King is easily in my top 10 characters all time. Cuz he's Gary f'n King mate! Is it wrong that I've watched sometimes just for the premise set up, switched off once the robots expose themselves?

Casino B+ Very good, wouldn't land in a top list for me.
The Dark Knight A+ ...my #29 all time. I think a big reason it works so well is Nolan keeps giving The Joker win after win, payoff after payoff, building his mystique & resume.

Is it wrong that I've watched sometimes just for the premise set up, switched off once the robots expose themselves? Not at all dude! It’s a 10/10 film for me until the bots show up. Loses a bit of steam (still great though) but if the film’s second half was as good as that first hour or so it’d be top 20 material for me! Gary King is also one of my favorite characters. I hope Wright does more films with Mr. Pegg

The Wave, a 2015 Norwegian disaster movie. I heard many great things about it so I decided to watch it today and I'm blown away. It's everything you want a disaster movie to be: realistic and powerful. With real characters and genuine emotions. There's beautiful cinematography and good storytelling. And best of all: the scientists aren't stupid. This isn't the typical disaster movie filled with clichés. This is an original and emotionally powerful movie about survival. It's not a masterpiece, but it's probably one of my favorite disaster movies. At least the best disaster movie since Titanic (I still have to see a few recent disaster movies including Contagion). I'm giving it an 8/10 for now, but that rating isn't definitive.

Sybil (1976) 10\10
Really a mini series with 2 episodes but since it played as one 3 hour and 18 min movie on my DVD i will rate it as a movie.

Mother! 4/10 (and I'm biased as Lawrence fan; 2/10 if it wasn't for her) Hell 6/10 (a ten degree rise in Temperature would never turn Germnay in such a hell hole - the current avarage over the year is 8 °C; 18 °C is not even a summer day, mild winters and very hot summers...so what) Infestation 7/10 (you can see the low budget at times, but overall a fun)

The Commuter - 9/10. A solid action flick, and it does a decent detective one as well. Just some tiny flaws, but they can be looked past and won't tamper with enjoyment of the film.

About Schmidt (2002)
I had not seen it since me and my dad rented it on VHS back in summer/autumn of 2003. As back then, I watched the film with my dad as we both a fans of Jack Nicholson. A quirky, feel-good roadtrip with some more serious moments and I enjoyed it more now than I did back then.
8/10
