No but I used to be a web developer, I could build one. Is there any money in being a freelance web site builder? I debated for my high school and my college, a rare privilege in both cases. It's part of how I actually know what I'm doing. I wrote a column for "Examiner.com" more or less straight out of college. They terminated me about five months before they went out of business themselves entirely. There is a story to that about the changes in journalism with the new media of instant internet. I could write a book. They are not the first employer to go out of business shortly after terminating me and might not be the last. I'm depending now on an article I wrote while working for them that I never posted to their site because I knew they would not pay me what it's worth and would get copyrights to it automatically as per our agreement on articles I did post to their site. I am still the sole owner and expect a breakthrough into "successful" journalism because of it, not on the terms of those amateurs at Examiner.com. It is difficult to make a living telling people that the vast majority of them are misinformed and misguided. It is not the sort information they receive well and not the sort of information they throw money at you to write. Nevertheless, I speak and write the truth without regard to how well it is received. I don't have to tell this board that though, do I? What I have done at Examiner.com and on my website before I even attended VCU for journalism is observe the loss of connection between the vast majority of people and actual science and actual religion. What most people, and apparently most people here too, consider "religion" is not. What most people, and most people here too, consider "science" is not. See my mission statement. That has lead to a terrible breakdown that is not getting recognized. Whichever party is in power imagines everything is fine, but it is not. Try getting paid to tell people that though. The election of Donald Trump will help my breakthrough, even if it means people slowly realizing how messed up they are, how right I was about that, and what to do now knowing that. That day is not here yet. Too many people still cannot begin to imagine how to face the reality that the majority is so wrong so often and needs restraint from a revised constitution. I am confident the day will arrive though.

That has lead to a terrible breakdown that is not getting recognized. Just saying that is an important first step for you. Congratulations.

Having real life friends helps a lot too, not that you're one of them. I think I'll miss this place. Won't you? I mean when the truth finally hits. There's a reason why Examiner.com went out of business. There is a reason why IMDB kicked us (you) out. It isn't that you're so dependable as a beacon of truth, FYI.

Holy cow. This is like reading an undiscovered Ignatius J. Reilly monologue. Here's an interesting question, to me anyway, pardon me if it bores you. Who has the rights to the articles I did post to Examiner.com, I mean now that the entity no longer exists? I still have those on computer files. Did they transfer those rights to some new organization? Do they have all the records necessary for that? The site is definitely down. It doesn't matter much. I'm just curious. The article I entitled (or "headlined") Again with the Health Care was a big hit. That title had a lot of people laughing.

Have you read his 'journalism' honestly he has no future in what he has written on this board, but I would admonish him to quit the 'journalism' too, he is just as rubbish at that. Arlon's "journalism" reads more like a parody of what an amateur thinks journalism is supposed to read like. Steve's "poetry" is much the same thing.

I never realized how specialized web design is; of course, I am an analog watch in a digital world. I was, for many years, a freelance illustrator that had just one major client that had me in a specialized niche. That part was a piece of cake. When the major client started to go digital, I had to diversify my analog work for other clients and used an agent, or artist's rep, for that. Not a piece of cake. Then, everyone went digital, and rather than give up my brushes and paint, I gave up illustration and got a day job as a proofreader. Eye for detail, spellcheck doesn't catch everything... it paid the bills for a while. Now that I'm semi-retired, I may take a stab at fine art, though my friend and mentor who did struggles to sell work. She now has two galleries representing her, which should help. Artists have no marketing skills. Yeah I know a few artists and yes it is hard for them to get a break, it seems like part of art school should be marketing. I understand that my (ex) step daughter is going to art school, I really hope she makes it, but I fear they will not teach her the skills she needs to make money out of it. You should watch (and/or have her watch) this: I'm guessing the art world is much like the poetry world; very few who do it make money at it, so most do it while doing something else (often teaching it) to make a living. Poetry is even harder because there aren't any rich collectors/patrons, and outside of a few fellowships/grants there's no way to make significant money.

You might be in some sort of "majority" now but that Weltanshauung is crumbling to pieces around you. There is no comparison between me and "Steve." What I say here will happen, not because I say so but because I saw it before you did.

Any progress on that front? We're all eagerly awaiting your victory.

In real life not one person dares berate my work except people who have never read it or much of anything else. They get all their information from television and won't know how messed up they are till it appears on television. They are incapable of formulating any argument themselves and depend entirely on being or claiming to be in the "majority," which is why their majority is spiraling down.

Credit where credit is due...Cine also stated "Believe me when I say: lengthy, prolix, rambling articles that appear, at times, to be the result of a random word generator mating with a rabid ferret. " I enjoyed that. Poor Arlon
