I think you making it too easy on yourself . People are complaining because this is badly written, silly and juvenile. People would not complain if the final confrontation was clever. The Dr Strange time warp boss confrontation was pretty ok and surprising even though a rip off of other Sci Fi shows and games. Did you know that they even made fun about the Dance Off scene in the film Passengers when Chris Pratt suggested a Dance Off and Lawrence was rolling her eyes. The character is silly and juvenile. I wouldn't be surprised if the dance off was Pratt's idea and he's having a good time about it. It's something that is so him. That, and if Quill were trying to make a rousing speech against Ronan like, say, Flik made to Hopper in A Bug's Life it wouldn't have fit his character. Quill isn't Steve Rogers, he's not somebody you can see Aaron Sorkin writing a monologue for.

Things like that dance off in Guardians are unessasiry. That Baskin Robbins scene in Antman was cringey. It was a distraction, you turd-blossom! And the Baskin Robbins scene was suppose to be cringey. He was suppose to be hating his life. Not having a good time. It was showing that his life is so low that he'd want to get back into crime. No it was a poor attempt at forced humor. You got a dumbass customer asking for burgers and fries repeatedly when hes told they don't have that and a Langs boss said it was a cool crime. Its a superhero movie not a sitcom

And if Quill did do a speech it would have totally been full of nonsense and would have had the same effect as a dance off. It would have been replaced with Ronan saying "What are you talking about? You are making no sense!" They probably would have had him saying lines from a bunch of old movies he saw when he was a kid.

No it was a poor attempt at forced humor. It was a very true to life example of why a released convict would want to go back to crime, seeing how society wouldn't let him get a normal job. A superhero movie with a true to life scene that wouldn't be out of place on a dramedy.

If Wormhole was here he would have a field day. Wormhole didn't think Nuclear War was something worth being scared over, what does he know?

I can collaborate on that. I worked at both a McDonald's and Burger King when I was a teenager. I ended each day thinking our costumers were all dumber than mud.

Seriously, has thenewnexus( and DC-Fan for that matter) ever seen Clerks? Kevin Smith wasn't making everything up for comedic effect when he wrote it a lot of it came from his experience working at that convenience store( He was pretty much the basis for Dante, his friend Bryan Johnson was the inspiration for Randall).
