You profess to be atheists, so why should our theology matter to you? It’s not a question of one person’s theology mattering to anyone else. It’s a question of what the bible says verses what passages can be cobbled together to make it say something that it clearly doesn’t. Wow. Another "clearly." Your indoctrination into the ranks of the ungodly is going along rather well, Cap'n.

You profess to be atheists, so why should our theology matter to you? I don't know why it seems strange to some that people would have interest in something they don't believe in. Luis Bunuel, the famous Spanish filmmaker, was an atheist and made an entire film about historical theology (in his own idiosyncratic way, of course).

You profess to be atheists, so why should our theology matter to you? I guess that I have a practical and philosophical objection to young children being indoctrinated into religion, especially the Catholic religion whilst being buggered by priests. I also have a practical and philosophical objection to Catholic and other Christian missionaries indoctrinating poor tribal people to NOT use condoms so that they end up being pregnant too often and with AIDS, when this is preventable in this day and age. I also have a practical and philosophical objection to religious bullshit in general. It causes disharmony, bigotry and human suffering let alone violence and wars.

So you know enough about the Bible, including the backstories, to know ANY difference? Fantastic!

Have you got anything better? Clearly secular logic, with sound moral ethical and political values translated into a more socialistic fair and equitable society. It should be democratic, maybe with capitalistic economics tempered by altruistic and pragmatic values that embraces modern technologies and makes use of human knowledge to benefit the most humans and to create a better world for all with fewer religious warring and jealousies and a global co-operative effort for ALL countries to contribute to a better way of living for mankind.

Damn, I'm an atheist again. It's getting difficult to keep up with when I'm an atheist and when I'm not.

Damn, I'm an atheist again. It's getting difficult to keep up with when I'm an atheist and when I'm not. Well, not for nothing... Have you ever just stated what you believe instead of making fun of people who get it wrong? Because "It's getting difficult to keep up with when I'm an atheist and when I'm not" seemingly applies to everyone else, as well.

I don't think I phrased it like that, but what if I did? What are you going to do about it?

Again you have proved your intelligence. That is why the early Church Fathers objected to an English translation. When you honestly study many languages, you will note that many concepts are not directly translatable. But the Protestants will have you think that the Catholics were out to obfuscate the Word of GOD deliberately.

God itself is not a trinity, but there are certain metaphysical properties that make God's presense a trinity in terms of it's presentation. God is a singular that comprises everything, and is beyond description.

Someone please invent an icon I can use to alert Molar to a joke! Hey Molar, how many languages have you 'honestly' studied? Are we into double figures yet?

All who believe that your faux pas was really a "joke", stand on your heads. You know you made a foolish comment, let it go.
I was speaking not about myself, but anyone who has studied a number of languages, plus the history of the Bible as we now know it, regarding translations.
Get it?

Well now, that we almost have this urgent matter almost resolved, can we turn to more pressing practical issues, like how many angels can be got on the head of a pin?
