Don't like Apple products to be honest. I don't like how they are created to become obsolete in a short amount of time.

The first Apple product Catman loathed was the Apple IIGS. As far as 1980s computers go, I prefer Commodore. I've mentioned this a million times before, but I have an old Commodore 16 computer in my bedroom for retrogaming purposes.

$1k for a phone, no thanks. even high end phones should not be more than about $300 or so MAX if you ask me. it's still a phone at the end of the day. because after a certain price point your into computer range prices and those are simply a lot more powerful. sure, you lose portability but with phones/tablets in general you basically got a watered down internet experience which is why it will be a cold day in hell before I stop using desktop computers for my general internet access.
hell, you can build a quality computer for $1k.

You can also buy a good quality computer for under $500, depending on your needs. And paying 1k outright for a phone that will be upgraded (again) in a few months makes absolutely no sense.

Don't like Apple products to be honest. I don't like how they are created to become obsolete in a short amount of time. I have a feeling Apple did that to the iPhone 7 I owned from may til September. Either that or Sprint's crappy service (I have a low credit score. Sprint was the only company that would serve me) Either way, That thing was terrible. it's bad enough they got rid of the headphone jack. But for god's sakes, I had to charge it 2-3 times a day because the battery would always die. One full charge would last me 3 hours at the most. I had the iPhone 6 on T-mobile (On a "family" plan with a person I no longer consider family) before that. Didn't give me any problems I went back to A samsung.

MiketheMechanicGreat point. when I upgraded my main computer back in May 2012 all I did was swap out the motherboard/CPU/RAM for a bit over $200(I think it was like $220-230 or so off the top of my head) and it was a big upgrade because at that time I was considering upgrading my RAM from 2GB to 4GB but after looking into things I realized that for not much more I could do what I ended up doing and got 8GB of RAM with it along with a much faster CPU. so it basically made no sense to upgrade the RAM on my previous setup.

Yes, nowadays you can get a 2 tb computer for a couple of hundred if it's on sale. I remember when a 1 gb computer cost $1k, lol.

I blame this annoying little troll as much as the price. Go vote on my poll if you are annoyed by Apple ads. Apple is condescending Poll

MiketheMechanic Hell, the first computer I had only had a 428.1MB hard drive in it (a bit over 0.4GB). I still have this hard drive and it still works to as I ran DBAN on it last year and it completed without any errors. the 2nd computer I had in 1996 was 133Mhz Pentium with 1.2GB hard drive and I think had 16MB of RAM. I eventually upgraded that to I think it was 64MB at some point. p.s. you can get 2TB hard drives for like $50 online. I paid $45 a bit over a year ago but now that same drive is $50. which is a lot of space for a very reasonable price. poelzig Exactly. I see that commercial on TV fairly often and what immediately stands out about it in a negative way is her response is not the way someone should talk to people basically as it's a lack of basic respect and sadly that's probably reflective of many young people in society today. like the part in the video where the neighbor asks her, 'What you doing on your computer?" and that girl in the video responds, "What's a computer?" ; when it's obviously a computer in a basic sense. just a very smart @$$ way of answering basically. p.s. I voted on your poll and not surprisingly the one I voted for has 75% of the votes because it's the most obviously annoying one. side note: I never buy Apple products in general as they are overpriced and you can generally get better/faster stuff for cheaper by going with another brand. but it seems about the only think they have of any real worth is the iPhone line of stuff. but with their inflated prices, they can keep them. Matthew the SwordsmanI agree with you completely as it will be a cold day in hell before ill use a phone or tablet variation for my primary means of internet access as they are watered down internet/computer experiences. you need a real computer to properly experience the internet and not only they you get a lot more power for a cheaper price and a larger screen as only benefits of phones/tablets is portability. but with that said... I can partially understand why many are moving away from real computers (i.e. Desktop/Laptop) because it seems many only use Facebook/Twitter and other social media BS and phones/tablets seem to be 'good enough' for many in this case.
