So now the question is...do the Indians win it this year for the chief, or do they win it next year proving he was the reason they blew ass?

Its amazing how offended people can be these days... Agreed. But Chief Wahoo is almost a caricature. The big stupid grin and the red, red face. It would be like having Little Black Sambo as a logo.

Its amazing how offended people can be these days... Do you mean the people who are offended by Chief Wahoo or the people who are offended that Chief Wahoo is being replaced? Because I dislike both groups.

My high school went from being the Indians to the Gladiators. It now honors people who killed for sport.
Re the Washington Redskins: Two polls (Annenberg and Washington Post) show ca 90% of Native Americans do not object to the name. Furthermore, many Native Americans proudly wear Redskin paraphernalia, as anyone who's lived in New Mexico, as I have, will attest. It's a liberal war against an innocent enemy done in the name of people who don't believe in the cause.

My high school went from being the Indians to the Gladiators. It now honors people who killed for sport. LOL! Maybe the "The Cleveland Borings" would be a better name. Or how about just numbering the teams, as in: "The Washington Twos". At least these names should not offend people... However, I am convinced it would somehow offend someone, these days. You know, I saw a movie once, where an "Native American" character said that his favorite teams was the "Redskins". It made perfect sense to me, and I thought it was rather funny. I assumed it was because he saw no reason to root for a bunch of Dolphins. So, when sports teams, no longer call themselves the Indians and Redskins, what teams are the "Native American" going to root for then?
