I'm waiting to see if any white person has the guts to NOT say it's perfect. Other than from the anonymity of a message board of course. Even more than Spidey's Homecoming Dance, the cast demands this movie be adored by silly white folks. I hope it's good but the trailers look generic as hell to me. Also always thought it was a bit cringey he's Black Panther as if to hammer how he's black. "hey look everyone we have a black character. Hey look at how enlightened we are." Is Iceman called WHITE Iceman? Hell no the dude is literally blinding white so it's obvious. Same with BP. His costume is onyx black and the brother is the king of an African country. "Gosh it's still not clear enough. Better tack Black on his name so he won't be confused with Orange Panther." Anyway that's my thoughts on the trailers and stuff. Oh, your backlash is coming, sir. All you have to decide is whether or not you want it with a side of fries and a tall glass of battery acid to wash it down. |

That's great news. To be honest, this movie has all the looks of something that will turn out great. It looks well balanced and definitely has all the ingredients. The only thing that worries me is that there's quite a number of praise in the early reviews regarding racial and female representation. Not that that's a bad thing but I just worry how much of the reviews are getting skewed because of it.

Yeah, I read one 'review' that said it was a great movie because she felt she was being well represented (or something like that). I mean OK, that's nice and good for you, but was the movie actually good? |

Well, MCU has had a Caucasian male as the lead character in all 17 of their movies so far. So MCU probably wanted to make sure everyone knows that the lead character in Black Panther is black. Or more likely they are using the name the character has had since 1966. So the DC TV series Black Lightning...is it called that to make sure everyone knows the character is black? Lightning isn't black though is it? Panthers ARE black. Don't be so defensive bro. |

The Panther is not a distinct species itself but is the general name used to refer to any BLACK colored feline of the Big Cat family. I guess you just want to argue because at no point did I ever say panthers were a species. Poll a thousand people and ask them what color is a panther and 99% of them will answer black. NO ONE calls a jaguar or leopard a white panther. The fact you are blatantly lying proves you are defensive. Isn't the villain in BP wearing a jaguar costume? So you're saying he will be called WHITE Panther? That will be interesting especially since he's portrayed by Michael B Jordan. Maybe it won't be as generic as I thought after all. |

I remember the last Disney film "The Last Jedi" got raves too, it turned out to be huge turd ^^^ This. I mean, I hope I'm wrong here cause I want films to be good but the critics have been duping me for awhile now haha. Can't trust them or these Twitter reactions tbh. |
