What makes you think the answers of the bible are accurate? Because I believe they were inspired by God and God is infallible. Why? You believe that God is infallible because the bible says so. And you believe the bible is inspired by God (because the bible says so). Do you really not see the problem with that? Even when I was a Christian myself I didn’t use that as my answer for why I believed because I could recognize even then that it would have been ridiculous.

Even when I was a Christian myself I didn’t use that as my answer for why I believed because I could recognize even then that it would have been ridiculous. I have faith in the bible for a number reasons. First and foremost because I don't believe this universe happened by chance and could create itself. I believe the best explanation is that it's the work of an intelligent being. When it comes to fine-tuning of the universe, laws of logic and objective morality etc the God of the bible explains more than any other. Due to further investigation I found that based on manuscript evidence, archeological evidence, eyewitness accounts, people being martyred, corroborating accounts, fulfilled prophecy, literary consistancy, the general principles and wisdom it prescribes, the life, death and resurrection of Christ and my own personal experience, the bible can be relied upon. This is why when the bible tells me God is infallible, I trust it.

Even when I was a Christian myself I didn’t use that as my answer for why I believed because I could recognize even then that it would have been ridiculous. I have faith in the bible for a number reasons. First and foremost because I don't believe this universe happened by chance and could create itself. So you don’t believe in science then? Because most scientific theories concerning the origin of the universe predict exact that! Can a Universe Create Itself Out of Nothing? Why There Is Something Rather Than Nothing Mathematical Proof That The Universe Could Have Formed Spontaneously From NothingWell first of all, there is no such thing as “objective morality”, period! Morality is subjective, and it always has been, in every society, throughout all of human history. And the fact that it is subjective is more evidence against the existence of the Christian God than for it. With respect to the “fine-tuning” of the universe, “anthropic' reasoning fails to distinguish between minimally biophilic universes, in which life is permitted, but only marginally possible, and optimally biophilic universes, in which life flourishes because abiogenesis occurs frequently”. That’s according to physicist Paul Davies! Fine-tuning is a loaded term that for some (like you implies an intelligent designer). However, for others (including most astronomers and physicists who accept the principle) implies merely a combination of conditions arising randomly (which in an infinite universe is statistically going to happen at some point) that merely allows for the possibility of life to develop. MOST of the universe is not just uninhabitable, but hostile to life. The fact that the universe is so inherently hostile to life seems to invalidate the notion that it was “intelligently designed”, much less designed at all. The supposed “fine-tuning” in this case doesn’t seem to apply to the vast majority of the universe. Finally, laws of logic do not require the existence of a God, but rather the existence of a brain with the ability to reason. Logic dictates that there can be no god (as described in the bible) considering the logical inconsistencies contained in the biblical argument and all of the evidence contradicting it. Most of things you mentioned are merely an extension of your personal experience influencing your interpretation of “facts”. There are no “witness accounts” of God, only STORIES of witness accounts that you accept on faith. There are no archeological evidences confirming the existence of God, nor could there possibly be. People are martyred all the time for the things they believe in; it happens all the time today in the religion of Islam. But that doesn’t indicate that what they believed was true, or moral. Literary consistency is not a measure of divine inspiration; the Lord of the Rings (and all of its canonical spinoffs) is a literarily consistent fiction! So these are not arguments based on logic, but rather interpretations of facts based on feelings and desires. I accept the “based on my own personal experience” argument as a reasonable explanation for why you believe in God, as that is the only one that is not falsifiable and therefore compelling. Not necessarily a compelling answer for convincing others, but a reasonable answer to explain why you believe what you do.

Even granting that, it doesn't actually follow that there is a god. The universe is not fine tuned. Using logic to explain logic is a futile endeavour. There's no such thing as objective morality. Fair enough, if it works for you. It doesn't seem a compelling case for me.
