Nah, just pretentious nonsense too ashamed of its origins to do anything worthwhile. Garbage, like the Halle Berry Catwoman movie.

Action comedy isn't actually a bad thing (Die Hard, Beverly Hills Cop), Marvel films just do it all the same way. Miserable teenager films like BvS are inherently a bad thing.

I guess serious mcu movies are gonna be a rare treat BP and WS are the most serious and best movies. At least there is Venom,Black Cat,X Men movies and Silver Surfer film fox is making How many times must you be told that Venom is going to be a comedy? Amy Pascal, a producer on the film, said they were striving to be one hence why they got the director of Zombieland to helm it. And before you say "but the trailer was serious..." a trailer is not the final indication of how a film presents itself.

Based on the 4Chan plot breakdown of "Venom" by a person who supposedly worked on the movie it doesn't sound like its going to be very mature or entertaining, or even worthwhile for fans of the character.

Another comedy? Three out of the last four MCU movies we've had were practically comedies. Not by the time Captain Marvel comes out.

Die Hard wasn't really an Action Comedy, rather an R rated Action movie with bits of comedy in it. The Marvel movies would never risk making an R rated movie unfortunately and they usually have an over abundance of humour that can let them down. It was something that worked when it was used sparingly in Iron Man or when it's the focus like Guardians of the Galaxy but ever since The Avengers, aside from the odd couple the movies just go too far with it

They are waiting to see if Venom does well before venturing into Silver and Black. That tells you if Venom will be good...

All of Marvel's movies are action-comedies. Like Rush Hour.

It will just add in profanity and some boobs and some blood. But we would still get the same movies.

Why would having an R rating change what is in the MCU? It will just add in profanity and some boobs and some blood. But we would still get the same movies. They could make a more violent and serious themed movie, like Blade or a similar kind of movie for Ghost Rider or another character. It'd be a movie equivalent of Daredevil, arguably the best thing to come from the MCU. It's not something they'd ever take the chance to do though. They only do it if it can be thrown on TV for cheap.

It'd be a movie equivalent of Daredevil, arguably the best thing to come from the MCU. Daredevil works because it's a TV show, you can't do that kind of storytelling its done in a mere 2 hour movie. And anyways, the Netflix shows all have the same problem that the villains come off as more interesting than the heroes and that each one runs out of plot before they run out of episodes. Only DD Season 1 averted this. EDIT: Given the attitude the Anti-MCU people here have, all they want out of an R Rating is just blood, cursing and sex scenes.
