Along the way you have dropped some hints as to what your worst episode list might contain... There are only a handful of episodes that I don’t know all of the dialogue. “Human Trigger” is one of them. Not a fav. “Druid’s Blood” is not one of my favorites. It does feature Don Rickles as a side note.

I would like to direct everyone's attention to a wonderful addition to my review of The Night of the Flying Pie Plate. I added a YouTube video of a West/UFO mashup that was unavailable when that review was originally posted.

Ten not favorite episodes Human Trigger Infernal Machine Deadly Blossom Deadly Bubble Plague S4 Cossacks Both Winged Terror episodes Pelican Camera I'm not surprised to see "TNOT Human Trigger" on your list given your earlier commentary. Nor am I surprised to see "TNOT Infernal Machine" and "TNOT Cossacks", as they also showed up on my list. I was surprised by many of your other selections. Although I can understand why both "TNOT Deadly Blossom" and "TNOT Pelican" made it on to your list. Since the latter is a half-remake of the former, it makes sense that if you didn't like the first one, you wouldn't like the second.

The Night of the Falcon -- The canon really was cool. I wonder how they made it. Styrofoam? I noticed Michael Shea at the start--who was famous as Huck Finn in the Hanna Barbera series.
One of Debra Paget's sister in this too.
I like how they showed those four villainous characters at the start. The stereotyping was easy to make out. The German/Russian, the British guy, the Turk, and the Spanish dude.
Weird to see Robert Duvall in such a thing. What would Michael think?

Probably in my top 20 of West episodes. Funny blooper, you can see a vehicle in the background in the beginning when the folks are gathered waiting for the town to be flattened by the falcon cannon.

One notable thing about this was that the Artie disguise was not really played for camp (I heard a discussion about how Batman influenced other shows and they remarked that in the case the WWW it didn't really affect it since the only campy element was the disguise). But considering how long he was in disguise---and the fact that no one doubted him. Also, while in that disguise, he brought about the elimination of the Turk crime lord. All by just making a fake bargain with the English one.

"The Night of the Cut-Throats"This is a very traditional western, and IMO a rather dull episode. Sue Kesler refers to villain Mike Trayne (Bradford Dillman) as "small potatoes" - exactly the words I came up with while taking notes on this episode. The villain in the previous episode had a cannon that could destroy an entire city. The villain in this episode has... a walking stick that can... comb his mustache, caress the face of his ex-fiance, and apparently is a good kisser, as Trayne kisses it several times. Oh, and he also uses it to kill a couple of guys. Boring! IMO, this is the worst episode of the season so far. No wonder it was filmed fifth but aired eleventh. Yes, the villain of this piece is small potatoes, but even so, you should watch your starches Sheriff! Some thoughts: - The brief sequence with male and female riders, from 27:58 to 28:03, is obviously stock footage. The man seems to be wearing a Union Army soldier's cap, while the woman is wearing a cloak with a hood. Artie and Sally's clothes are nothing like that!
- At 31:33, Artie knocks out a guard, but doesn't take his gun(s). I would expect a higher level of strategic thinking from the United States Secret Service!
Bradford Dillman is normally a great villain, didn’t really translate in this episode. Uncle Fester needed the Atkins diet.
I was glad to see Beverly Garland--and I guessed right before the surprise that she was not straight.
She didn't get much to do but the sly face reflected in the mirror was at least something. The most interesting thing about it was how much Artie does--he saves Jim from the hoodlums (blowing his cover?), is ready for Beverly's deception, and also had that elaborate fireworks display ready for the showdown. No humor-except that he starts playing Beautiful Dreamer right before Jim gets into the bar fight.
I noticed the stock footage too.
I thought Jackie Coogan's food looked delicious--especially the cake!

The western town shown during the showdown was used quite often during the series run. There’s is an aerial view online that shows this street and it also shows our favorite street corner(4024 Radford Ave) used many times as well.

Was the forest ambush area the same place they shot the rendezvous from Planet of the Apes where Taylor and Cornelius embark to the forbidden zone? It sure looked familiar--the trees and road.

"The Night of the Legion of Death" I liked it this a lot. It was not so much James Bond and yet felt kind of Civil War Noir.
Jim's hair changes a couple of times--he has a flatter hairstyle and then it puffs up for a close up and then goes flat again. Also, his personality is different from the regular--less serious here.
I liked when they stick the morgue attendant in the box--I noticed he got out without pushing too.
Zerbe was great in this--his freak out at the end. But it looked to me like he really slapped those two legion members hard on the face. And Conrad has a fall from a balcony that looked painful.
I liked how Artie came into the courtroom as a witness. I was going nuts trying to figure out where I had seen Karen Jensen recently. I see her now and then but can never place her.
That was a good portrait of Kent Smith.

Great, fun, third season episode. “It was meeeeee!” I'm now envisioning the empty room after all Brubaker's supporters have left. I'd post a picture, but I can't find one.

I prefer West as more serious and Artie as the comedy but I am just saying it was unusual how comical he was here. He was joking around and smirking with the mistress more than average.
I was thinking it was going to end with Artie alone with Deke and then maybe he offers him a fake beard so he doesn't feel so bad about his scarred chin.
"Here, keep the fake beard from my disguise."

Fans of The Night of the Poisonous Posey may enjoy the following post from my my recent quote thread. I literally clicked through every TWWW picture on the IMDb before deciding this one was the most appropriate. Good evening, Mr. West.

The Night of the Turncoat - I liked the elaborate annoyance from the postal worker disguise. I read the review of it--I caught the dry hair as well as the diver used to double for Conrad but didn't know the safety diver. This episode had some great gas at the end.

"The Night of the Iron Fist" I liked this episode. First the way Artie is introduced with a switcheroo--although wasn't it dumb for the wagon driver to have his badge on? Also, after Artie shoots the lawmen in the train-asking the criminals to remove the body seemed a rather risky thing give that they were playing dead.
But I did enjoy the scenes with him and the Countess--and the way he removed the henchmen by the train door was funny.
I knew the horse was going to toss the Count from the saddle. This is the first episode I can recall where Jim laughs.

I'm glad you enjoyed it, but this episode holds a prominent place on my Worst Episode List. Thanks for continuing your watch, and for sharing your thoughts here!
