I would agree that Artie's Mojave Mike disguise is a highlight, but I wouldn't go so far as to say he "saves the episode."
Okay, how about the lovely Joanna Moore?
When I get there I'll let you know!

July 2, 1842, Happy Birthday James T West. And another year has passed. This difference to past years is I did pretty recently rewatch "The Night That Terror Stalked the Town", where a headstone lists this as West's birth date. I'm now over halfway through my "The Venture Bros." rewatch, culminating in the initial viewing of my Season 7 DVDs, then it's back to TWWW.

Compared to the 1999 movie abomination (which I finally saw for the first time earlier this year), Season 4 is freaking brilliant!!! Speaking of the 1999 movie abomination, Honest Trailers published their take on it today. They call it, "The Not Very Good, the Bad, and the Somehow Even Worse".

Funny, I remember they announced that the movie was going to release on July 2, 1999. Then it changed to June 30th. They even messed that up.

July 3, 1981. Passing of Ross Martin. I went searching for Ross Martin tributes and found this video from earlier this year:

Did you notice the blooper (at 0:34) where the narrator refers to "Jim Gordon".

Yes, I did.
BTW, I really like the Manzeppi episodes.

"The Night of the Torture Chamber"I'm now over halfway through my "The Venture Bros." rewatch, culminating in the initial viewing of my Season 7 DVDs, then it's back to TWWW. I'm now through with the recently released Venture Bros. Season 7 DVDs, and am now back to TWWW. Tonight I watched "The Night of the Torture Chamber" and had a couple of observations: First, William Mims played the Governor of California in The Night the Wizard Shook the Earth and apparently Henry Beckman's "Governor Bradford" is supposed to be the same character, as Sigrid Valdis' Miss Piecemeal appears in both episodes and the dialogue states West met the Governor about a year earlier. So these two gentlemen are supposed to be the same guy: Second, this time the title struck me as odd because I realized there is no actual "torture chamber" in the episode. Sure, there is the wine press, but that hardly qualifies as an means of torture, unless the crank is turned very slowly - which wasn't at all what was shown. EDIT 01/16/2021: This was my first TWWW episode review in this thread. From this point forward, with one exception, I reviewed every episode of the series. My reviews definitely got more thorough for Seasons 2-4. An episode index, with hyperlinks to each of my reviews, can be found here.

Funny, I never really thought about it this way. Good point.

Funny, I never really thought about it this way. Good point. I wonder if, in the original script, the museum had a dedicated "chamber of horrors". After all, doesn't it seem a bit odd that the Bolt Museum has both a ballista and a Rembrandt painting in the same room? If there was a dedicated "chamber of horrors" in the original script, that would explain the episode title. The challenge now of course is to come up with an appropriate West title that is accurate to what was actually shown on screen. How about: "The Night of the Doppleganger" "The Night of the Corrupt Connoisseur" Any other suggestions?
