Mary Jo Putney is still around? I think I read all her books when I was younger. Must catch up on the newer stuff then. I love me a good bodice ripper now and then! Don't know, she has a 2023 release but I don't know if it's a reissue or not. I like Madeline Hunter. I've never read Madeline Hunter. Putney, Balogh, Laurens, Quick, James are my usual. But Quick has gone 1920s now, so no thanks. I used to read Christina Dodds too until she went a bit too weird.

But nowadays I like Kleypas though I haven't seen any by her in awhile. I discovered Joanna Shupe who writes Gilded Age in America, very good.

Sironia, Texas by Madison Cooper I've spent some weeks engaged in a re-read of this book so that I can add a full, detailed plot to Wikipedia. As far as I know, all that is available in the web are short plot summaries. I have a document where I am adding a summary of each chapter as I read it. So far, I'm about 70% done with the book and the chapter summaries stand at around 56k words total. When I'm all done, I'd like to cut it down to a plot outline of 5k to 10k words, which is what I'll add to Wikipedia.

I am reading Grave Error, by Tom Flanagan, & CP Champion. That is about the alleged graves of children found on the sites of former residential schools in Canada, almost 3 years ago , & the backlash that they had caused the country.

Written by an Indigenous woman, about the post residential school experiences of 5 residential school survivors. While fictionalized, it is rooted in real experiences.
