This Is How You Lose the Time Warp, by Amal El-Mohtar and Max Gladstone Update: I kinda hated it. Good idea, bad execution. Then again, it win awards, so what do I know?

Station Eleven by Emily St. John Mandel I loved (and highly recommend) the miniseries adaptation, and decided to finally give the book a read. I read this when it first came out. It's too bad that the pandemic moved it firmly into reality from science fiction. Also made me swear never to live higher than any floor I can comfortably come down from!

Sea of Tranquility, by Emily St. John Mandel You've been on quite a kick reading all her stuff. Is it worth reading? I have this one on my "to read" list. However, am going to deep dive into some first nations literature now.

Am now reading two: Didn't realize it's a collection of short stories - generally not a fan. We'll see. Also reading: We are planning to do first nations focussed book circles.

I just finished reading "Being Henry - the Fonz and beyond" I usually don't care for autobiographies but I really enjoyed this one, Henry Winkler is an interesting man and certainly not a braggart. I also just finished "Dirty Thirty" by Janet Evanovich, just another Stephanie Plum easy read - not too much of Grandma in this one but plenty of Lula but I think its time to "retire" Stephanie.

So, finished Moon of the crusted snow. Nice writine, bit of a weird story. Slow. Don't know if I can sell that to kids. Didn't realize the Lahiri was short stories. Not my favourite genre. But we'll see. Maybe non-fiction up next.

A genuine pulp novel from the early 60s. I'll be starting on it tonight.

Mary Jo Putney is still around? I think I read all her books when I was younger. Must catch up on the newer stuff then. I love me a good bodice ripper now and then!
