I wonder if he would agree to play if he was getting the NFL equivalent of minimum wage. That's all I could see anybody paying him.

The Vikings are looking for a backup. There is even talk that it could be Mark Sanchez. Sanchez? Kaepernick? I just threw up in my mouth.

Honestly, as a Texan fan, Id be willing to give him a look. Lets be real, he was doing okay for a bit, made a superbowl. Someone will give him a shot, Texans need a QB and Dallas and Romo are being @$$holes.
Really, can we get much worse than Brock? Can Kaep do much work, look at the 49ers, he had no talent. Kaep to Hopkins...shrug, Id take him as a backup.

Romo has no control over it, the Cowboys are screwing him over by not releasing him so he can go and look for a job. The longer they hold on to him, the less interest teams will have for him as they look to sign who is available

I'm not surprised either. Why can a brother not speak out against the oppression that his people face on a daily basis without his career being left in tatters? Land of hate and bias.

Right, its because of hate and bias instead of the fact that he is horrible. What's your stance on the fact that he wants to speak out against the oppression but does nothing about it. I mean c'mon, he states he didn't vote because the of the system of oppression. How does he expect to be a part of the change if he doesn't do something as simple as voting for the change?

He put up good stats last season, for a backup. He's not horrible. If he never refused to stand for the national anthem and kept his mouth shut, he'd have a job right now.

Well if he didn't vote then he should have, but sport's stars aren't always the smartest. I don't think he should be discriminated against though just because he sat out the national anthem, I mean I saw the pictures, I thought he did it in a very respectful way. If the reason he hasn't got a team is because he is hopeless at american football then that is fair enough, but if it is because he "knelt" during the anthem, well, that's not cricket!

I imagine though the police in America would see him as black, and if he's driving round in a nice car in America... who knows how many times he gets pulled over and has a gun pointed in his face every week?

Color is relevant. You called him a "brother", in the US that means black. What happened to his white heritage? Does the black part of him supersede the white part? What race he is or isn't has no bearing on his chance that he will land a job. The quality of a quarterback he is does.

The Cowboys are doing what's in their best interests. He's under contract to the Cowboys. Other teams want him but they don't want to give up anything to get him so they want the Cowboys to just release him so they can get him without giving anything up. Why should the Cowboys help out those other teams? If those teams want him, then they should give up something of equivalent value for him.
Belicheat had agreed to coach the Jets and then screwed them over by reneging on his agreement. So now that the Cowboys are doing what's in their best interests, critics start complaining.

I agree theyre losing on free agency.
No theyre not, there is no interest, no one is gonna pay that contract. Theyll take Romo if that contract goes down. Problem is you guys are LOSING on free agency. This is what youve lost:
He is, but you guys can grab a free agent piece you got no cap room to acquire jack. Giants are better now. Cruz, Marshall, Beckham Jr...jesus christ. Ony NE can match that kind of wide receiver core with them nabbing Cook (Losing Bennett to GB) and Gronk returns.
They dont want to pay that $$ is the issue. In the end, f it then, let Dallas keep Romo and watch other teams get better while theyre losing on FA. Yes, you can get some pieces in the draft, but you cant get it all.
They need to help themselves and Dak. Giants are taking a step up, so far in FA Cowboys have taken a step back. BTW...who beat Dallas twice?
Not worth it, let Dallas keep him. I want Romo sure but paying his contract and him being injury prone, I guess Ill go with Cutler. I live in Houston, nothing new for us to have a crap QB.

Does nothing about it? He donates $100,000/month to charities for under-privileged youth and the non-profit organization he helped start to educate under-privileged youth as to their constitutional rights I'd say amounts to something that is consistent what what his criticism was. Voting is a right, it's not an obligation. And whether you or I think it's stupid for a person to note vote, people try to use this one thing and his celebrity status as a means of de-legitimizing what he says, rather than actually attacking what he says. The fact that he didn't vote somehow means what he says isn't true? One really has nothing to do with the other.

I bet, if a sportsman in America decided to raise awareness to whale fishing or cruelty to dogs, and knelt during the anthem, you guys wouldn't have had the half the problem with him as you do with Colin Kaepernick. Is it because you care more about dogs than you do black people?
