It looks like the 4 day weekend is going to be $19-21 million which is less than Black Panthers 5th weekend (which was 3 days). I'd say at this point it definitely won't outgross it domestically. It would make mean that The Avengers Stillman's the most tickets domestically. it will be almost even. BP will be pushed to 700m milestone. It may get a re-release for awards season also.

Well by its 5th weekend it's going to be around $625 million.
Black Panther was at $605 million by its 5th weekend so Infinity War has a $20 million lead.
But as of the 4th weekend Infinity War had a $34 million so it is coming down fast.

The movie has now passed $1.9 billion. Needs another $96 million to go to hot $2 billion.
It'll also surpass The Avengers domestically tomorrow as well.

Hello,
Actually,...for your information, Around here, the local cineplex 'bought' the last remaining theaters in the city. (What they did was far worse, but... It is the usual boring corruption story).
Bottom line, the only way to watch a blockbuster is to go to the actual cineplex location, witch is out of the city, far away from the mayor office...
And the fact is actually that keeps the 'nerds' away.!!!
It now almost is like going abroad to discover a new country, wondering: who the h... (appart for the silly person actually wondering) will be there to watch those things ?
Discovering entire families, dressed at their best, seated in the uncheapest seats... Discovering the way they look at the end of the show: wild eyed, same way people looked at the end of 'the lobster'. Like something froze them. Not really sure about how they should behave.
Nothing like the usual actual crowd that applauded (no kidding) avengers ultron...
Till later, T

Looks like it will fall short of TFA worldwide, but still pass 2 billion. JW2 coming out next week will prevent this.

It's now at $1.964 billion so it'll definitely make $2 billion but it's not likely to make another $100 million+ to pass The Force Awakens.

I always applaud at movies, even the ones I hate. Because they're finally over? Sometimes yes. Sometimes just to be an asshole.

At this rate Avatar is probably safe for another decade.

At this rate Avatar is probably safe for another decade. Avatar 2 could do very well overseas, may be muted domestic though

That is interesting.
The movie has done extremely well in the US but ultimately will end up selling less tickets than the original Avengers and Black Panther.
Surprisingly it's even going to sell less tickets than Jurassic World which I'm sure nobody thought was ever going to happen.
I'm not sure if it's silly to say that that's a little disappointing? All things considered, with the ten year build up and all these characters you'd think it would have done probably better than the first Avengers but it's close enough anyway.

Infinity War was a failure and they should reboot the mcu is what you're saying?
