Box Office just skyrocketed, it's now at $1.606 billion. The highest grossing superhero movie of all time.
Also the fifth highest grossing movie ever. This is looking very likely to hit $2 billion.

Wow, 200 million in China. That changes things. 2 billion is now a likely possibility. Will be interesting to see if it can beat TFA, it's a very close call.

So can we all admit now that the "scary" and "depressing" ending hasn't impacted the box office at all?

So can we all admit now that the " scary" and " depressing" ending has only boosted the box office? "Fixed." ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png)

So can we all admit now that the " scary" and " depressing" ending hasn't impacted the box office at all? It'll be interesting to see how well the next one does. As much as I love Infinity War, I'm hoping the next one has a happier ending for the heroes.

So can we all admit now that the " scary" and " depressing" ending hasn't impacted the box office at all? Well it did keep IW from breaking 3 billion.

It looks like the movie is now falling behind Black Panther on a day to day basis.
That might mean it won't pass Avatars domestic gross. There's every possibility it could make less than Black Panther domestically as well.

Movies passed Jurassic World now. It's the highest grossing summer movie of all time.
Dunno if it's gonna actually make Black Panther money though domestically. That might not happen.

The 1.9 is a lock. Deadpool’s lame jokes won’t reward repeat viewing. Solo’s getting middling reviews. He’ll be rolling dolo by week three. MCU will hit the 3.4 hard by the end of the Ant Man II run. Feel the pain.

Movies passed $1.7 billion now.
It looks like Deadpool 2 has had a big impact on its box office though because it's looking to drop 54% this weekend.
It's estimated to do $28 million. In comparison Black Panther did $40 million so this is where it's going to start to gain on it a lot.
I can't see how it's gonna make another $105 million to beat it.

Shot up passed $1.8 billion now.
It's also passed The Force Awakens overseas gross. It's going to need over $250 million more to pass it worldwide though.
I don't think it will.

The difference in the crowd leaving Deadpool from the crowd leaving IW is pretty dramatic. DP is just so much more fun while IW is a sober downer ending. I don't see how that couldn't effect the box office in some way.

Rest easy, we won’t take their precious record. Not this time. But the prophecy must be fulfilled. ...and behold, A4 came like a blight on all of the other fandoms... Death comes to everyone. Hee hee hee...

Well it only needs $187 million to hit $2 billion.
That might be doable.

I reckon it is going to gross about $1.98 billion now. You'd think Disney would come up with some smart gimmick to make the extra $20 million if things were that close.

Currently my prediction says 2.004 billion as its final gross. Using a bell curve I get a 51% chance of reaching 2 billion and a 22% chance of beating TFA, but I think the chance of beating TFA is even smaller irl (so small that it practially doesn't really have a chance) because real life isn't a perfect bell curve and it's more difficult to get values above the predicted results than a value below predicted results. I was kinda sceptical about it reaching 2 billion, but based on the current figures it will at least be very close. My bet would also be 1.98 billion, because my prediction doesn't take the release of Deadpool 2 & Solo into account which will hurt IW's performance. Still, I wouldn't be surprised if it reaches 2 billion. If not then it'll most likely reach 2 billion during a re-release, maybe even next year with Avengers 4.

It looks like the 4 day weekend is going to be $19-21 million which is less than Black Panthers 5th weekend (which was 3 days).
I'd say at this point it definitely won't outgross it domestically.
It would make mean that The Avengers Stillman's the most tickets domestically.
