I didn’t notice the entire closet full of nothing but capes organized by color on the Falcon before. That’s an amazing detail.

They’re going to bring Billy Dee Williams back for some sequel, right? That guy’s great. Does this game have rules? This Lando doesn’t look exactly like Billy Dee Williams, but he’s got the mannerisms and voice down perfectly. It’s funny that they went for that with Lando but not for Han. Donald Glover is a great actor. He’s spot on. But what they did with Lando for this film, Is the questionable part. The game has rules, but he’s a cheat. Yep, Billy Dee should be back for IX. 😃 I don’t think I’ve seen Glover in anything before, but he’s good, very good. Looking forward to seeing Williams again. I think I want to kill the droid with Emma Thompson’s voice. (Yes, I know it’s not actually Emma Thompson! Sounds like her, though.) Han comes off as kind of wimpy, while Harrelson and Lando are as cool as cucumbers. That does annoy me a bit.

Yeah, seeing the Falcon is really the turning point to feeling like it’s not Earth.

It’s a really smart show and I think you’d appreciate it. It covers all genres. He was on that, and the Russo’s directed a lot of eps.

We need actors with distinctive voices again ( Primemovermithrax Pejorative has brought this point up before). Ford has a distinctive voice, while this guy does not. Passing Salzmankian observation of no real significance. The Falcon looks nice and new here. “Equal rights”? What the hell? What a dumb line.

The droid stops the movie dead.

This is something that, like a lot of TFA (not to dredge it up again, but it's that thing) where shit just doesn't even make sense in its own context. Equal rights under what?

No, you’re absolutely right. Not only does it sound awkward, but as you say it also doesn’t make any sense in its own context. And why answer like that? Ugh. Joan Rivers in Spaceballs would have been more bearable than this droid.

You strike me as someone who would really appreciate the Golden Age of TV that we're in, where these longform series are doing novel-level characterization and storytelling. I recommend True Detective and Stranger Things, for a start. But you can really pick any of those kind of shows whose premise appeals to you, and I'll bet you'll appreciate all the quality and depth and detail work that goes into them. ETA: Innit?

Curiously, I rather like TV shows where each episode is self-contained, which is something that has kept me from getting into Game of Thrones or stuff like that (that show also doesn’t seem like something that would interest me, but I’ve never seen it, so I don’t know for sure). I get bored with a lot of modern TV that follow the same story for a long time. A pal recommended Stranger Things, and I may watch it one of these days. True Detective looked interesting because of the Robert W. Chambers stuff and the mystery. But I haven’t looked into any of it, so far. More a lack of time than of interest. Also, pure, unbridled emotion from me: I hate this droid. Just kill her off now. Please. Please.

Yeah, I was thinking that too, but then I guessed she could be supporting equal rights in the abstract, that everyone should have equal rights, whether the Empire or not? Or, nah, it’s just a “buzz-phrase” that some screenwriter weirdly decided to throw in. Interestingly, other than that, this movie feels very old-fashioned– Rocketeer-like, almost. Did Lando actually have feelings for her?

Did Lando actually have feelings for her?According to Larry Kasdan's talentless hack son, who only got the job because his dad wrote the best Star Wars movie anyone's still ever seen: yes.

She’d probably jam her doohickey in the elevator port trying to liberate it from its pulley system slave life and get you stuck and/or killed 😂

But what if Rey blathers on about being smarter than Einstein because the writers wrote her that way? You may want to reconsider that statement. Oh, and if you’re going to marry Rey I’ll take the girl in this (unless she ends up being some kind of traitor? Ehh, she’s still cute).
