Yeah, I was thinking that too, but then I guessed she could be supporting equal rights in the abstract, that everyone should have equal rights, whether the Empire or not? Or, nah, it’s just a “buzz-phrase” that some screenwriter weirdly decided to throw in. Interestingly, other than that, this movie feels very old-fashioned– Rocketeer-like, almost. Did Lando actually have feelings for her?According to Larry Kasdan’s talentless hack son, who only got the job because his dad wrote the best Star Wars movie anyone’s still ever seen: yes. For me, the writing in this doesn’t sound as bad as much as it does generic–which makes truly bad lines like “equal rights” even worse. No Morpho, Only Bánh mì, this feels more space-set. I like it. Still Star Trek-y. Bones and Spock should pop up any minute now; Han’s already basically Kirk.

Someone should make a western set on Tattooine and call it Two High Noons. Popped into mind because it’s going for the western theme now.

Right? It so is. Did they do the token unmasking of the mysterious antagonist yet? Yes. Is it supposed to be a big reveal? Who is she? Typically it’s an exciting moment in these movies. This one is considered underwhelming. Also the fighter cause of Enfys Nest is just, ugh, of course it is.

Dude, I would rather marry Rey and live with her for the rest of my life than share an elevator with that droid. Amen, brother. But what if Rey blathers on about being smarter than Einstein because the writers wrote her that way? You may want to reconsider that statement. Oh, and if you’re going to marry Rey I’ll take the girl in this (unless she ends up being some kind of traitor? Ehh, she’s still cute). Not to be completely crass, but... wrap it up, brother. It's pretty strongly suggested that the shit Qui'ra had to do to get where she is when she meets Han again would make Jabba blush.

Ah. It’s Harrelson who’s the traitor. Ehh. That’s not too surprising. “You weren’t pay attention: I said, ‘Don’t trust anybody’”–Walter Donovan, The Last Crusade?
There was this one alien who looks like one of the apes from Planet of the Apes, which is neat. I actually this climax a lot.
This girl would be a good choice to play Nora if ever (God forbid) they were to remake The Thin Man. I’ve noted somewhere around here that I can think of more potential Noras than potential Nicks, for whatever reason.

I just think she’s an attractive girl, that’s all.

HIM?! Ol’ Debbil Boy? What’s he doing in this?
Didn’t… Didn’t Obi-Wan kill him? What?

Yeah. Ironically, the very first big issue ( a "canary in the coal mine" to some fans; the beginning of endless bitching and nitpicking, to others) is one on which I'm squarely anti-Lucas. The change in ANH:SE seriously undermines the arc of his character, in that movie and his appearances overall. Hell, you could argue it even somewhat shits on the way Han is shown in TFA.
