Thanks! Been a blast for me too! Take a bow, mang. This has been cool. Let me ask you to speculate: do you think viewing the films in another order would've influenced your feelings about them individually and relative to one another? Such as: my modified Machete order: IV, V, I, II, III, VI Or: chronologically, in-universe: I, II, III, Solo, RO, IV, V, VI, VII, VIII Or do you think your general takeaway would be the same? One of my biggest criticisms of TPM is that it doesn't explain fucking anything despite Lucas saying (supposedly in earnest) that they're meant to be seen I-VI. Even the Jedi seem kind of terrifying and overpowered, I would think. Maybe not? I love Machete order. I’ve heard of starting it with Rogue One. That’d be a very different ride. I suppose putting Solo before R1, Then the traditional episodes would allow for that more goofy feel. (I’ve always loathed the Jedi. Their fall was long overdue.)

I think their depiction in the prequels was pitch-perfect. I know many were disappointed, but it's like: by definition, a Jedi Order in tune with the Force wouldn't have been succeptible to erosion and destruction by Siddious.

They were flying blind and out of time. It’s really akin to Ragnarok or the Phoenix. Destruction and Creation (rebirth) as one.

The gal’s back! She looks a bit like a young Jennifer Connelly. Knew there was a reason I liked her. Who? Emilia Clarke?
How's her acting? She seemed like a high school kid in Terminator and I have never seen Game on Thrones.

I thought the first twenty minutes or whatever of that Terminator flick were perfect. You know, when they were just literally remaking the 1984 movie. The instant it tried to anything on its own it immediately went to absolute shit, but...

I’d say she is above average in the pool of quality here.

You strike me as someone who would really appreciate the Golden Age of TV that we’re in, where these longform series are doing novel-level characterization and storytelling. I recommend True Detective and Stranger Things, for a start. But you can really pick any of those kind of shows whose premise appeals to you, and I’ll bet you’ll appreciate all the quality and depth and detail work that goes into these kinds of shows. Innit? Curiously, I rather like TV shows where each episode is self-contained, which is something that has kept me from getting into Game of Thrones or stuff like that (that show also doesn’t seem like something that would interest me, but I’ve never seen it, so I don’t know for sure). I get bored with a lot of modern TV that follow the same story for a long time. A pal recommended Stranger Things, and I may watch it one of these days. True Detective looked interesting because of the Robert W. Chambers stuff and the mystery. But I haven’t looked into any of it, so far. More a lack of time than of interest. Also, pure, unbridled emotion from me: I hate this droid. Just kill her off now. Please. Please. I meant to address this earlier, 'cause I'm sort of the same way. I like to watch quality TV one episode at a time over several nights. I don't binge-watch stuff like that, usually. I like to let that shit marinate. To me, people flying through that sort of content is a little like someone saying, "I have fourteen lobster tails, enough for two every night for a week. So naturally I sat down on day one at noon and ate all fourteen." Now, trash like 90 Day Fiancé, Jersey Shore, WWE, etc. -- that I can binge on for days. ETA: Passions too. Your favorite!

BTW I didn't mean she acted like she was in high school-I meant she looked like a high school kid in the movie.

To be honest I expected worse. From Genisys? Man, I don't know how much worse it could've gotten than evil android John Connor and Uncle Arnie! But I will give it that first twenty minutes. I was fully engaged.

I think it's essential, so in my modified order I've included it. But you're absolutely right.

Denyrius Stormborne is in Solo?! How did I not know this?! I might have to see this now. I love me some dragon queen!!!!!@

I love me some dragon queen!!!!!@ She’s the token tough brunette chick ✅ 😃 Curiously, I was talking to someone a few weeks ago about how I would've cast her as Rey instead of Daisy Ridley! I don't know why I never recognized her in the promos or trailers! I like her as a brunette though! 😍
