Okay... Grace's review is going to be up shortly... What's the bet? I say she apologizes the shit out of it and encourages Sony to take bigger, smellier, future dumps on the fandom. Who's going to take Death Man's action? Sounds like she liked it. Winning the Randolph-the-red-nosed-hater lottery is oh so sweet. Thank you, my dude.

The review of this movie for The Hollywood Reporter says that Tom Hardy would be “the perfect actor to one day play Harvey Weinstein”. That sounds like it can’t be anything other than an insult, but I don’t know if the critic intended for it to somehow be a complement.

But its a comedy stuffed with immature humor, like Venom and Eddie are essentially a live-action Ren & Stimpy - and you think this movie will be more intense than Infinity War? Go on, keep us laughing. I doubt anybody dances to beat a villian like star lord did *Yawn* Which isn't how things actually played out, but we've been down this path many times already and its getting real boring - find new material, please. Plus, the humor in Guardians was handled more smartly and was more character based, the humor in Venom is being called just plain ridiculous, over-the-top, and just aims for shock value instead of actually moving the plot forward.

So I guess we won't be getting those sequels? The budget is $100m. If it makes $400m it will be a success. Then a sequel will be on the cards.

I was thinking it was like $250. Venom doesn't look as bad now knowing it was made at such a lower budget. I definitely think it'll get at least $200 in the US.

Compares it to Sam Raimi... This review is probably more inventive than the movie.

"Fleisher's best since Zombieland!" Etc., etc., etc.

Wow. I wasn't expecting a high RT score but I certainly want expecting it to be this low. It's like BvS all over again

I just found out my old college buddy bought me and him tickets for an Art House Showing of Evil Dead 2 and Army of Darkness saturday evening after I told him I had tickets for Venom saturday afternoon. I'll be in a unique position to compare and contrast. Edit: this happens frequently we had to drive 2 hours to see Bubba-Hotep opening weekend at a art house. Luckily ED2 and AoD is at a theater about 30min from his house.

This is why this scene will live on in infamy. Even Pratt made fun of it in Passengers.
Not getting why it is stupid just makes you MCUs look dumb.

However I'm in the sense that Daniele Radford and I have similar tastes. The Screen Junkies review sold me on the film more than anything. I find that odd because I'd choose Perri first.

I don't usually care about reviews either. I don't think many people's opinion sway me much. Maybe Marc Bernardin has swayed me a little bit and Jon Schnepp did to a degree too. It's always been to the positive though. Like I didn't feel that great about a movie because of the trailers. And those two's enthusiasm for a film pushed me over into seeing in theater instead of waiting for home video.
