76ers vs Phillies in a game of hockey in an outdoor rink. can it be held at the Linc where the Eagles play?
That would have been my suggestion if I knew what it was called.

I love how ESPN thinks Vegas has the Lakers as the favorite to win the title next year. Betting odds are not math odds.
Caesar's has:
Lakers 4-1 Bucks 6-1 Clippers 6-1 Rockets 7-1 Raptors 8-1 Warriors 11-1 Celtics 12-1 76ers 12-1 Nuggets 15-1 Thunder 22-1 Knicks 22-1
All they are doing is not committing to a payout that will invite lots of speculative betting on free agency moves, avoiding committing to a worst-case scenario of having to pay on those at 10-1 or 15-1. People tend to bet the Lakers heavily in Vegas as it is.

Rumors swirling the Pels maybe be looking to swap that newly acquired #4 pick from the Lakers.

AD going to the Lakeshow to joing 'Bron will be just about as successful as pairing Dwight with Kobe

apparently there's major heat between Harden and CP3
wonder if a sign and trade can be made - Butler for CP3 and if the salaries match up
give us a true PG and move Ben to the 4

So are we not going to talk about the shooting at the Toronto parade? If this happened in Philly, Detroit, Atlanta, etc. there'd be plenty of chatter on the board about how shitty those cities are. And this isn't a shot at Toronto, I'm simply pointing out the double standard that exists in people's minds about the prevailing attitudes of some cities as compared to others. Point is, there are asshats everywhere.

free agency: rumors swirling Al Horford is done with the Celts too. ouch. he plays Embiid the best in the NBA IMO. if kyrie bolts and then Horford - Celts could be in trouble next year. Kris Middleton opted out too; however rumors have it the Bucks are going to re-up him - which makes it interesting if they can sign Brogdon - they've already stated they're taking calls for Ily - expect him to be had at the Draft tomorrow night fairly cheap. Rockets in play for Butler apparently - I don't know how Morey would swing this - apparently the Knicks shot down a CP3 trade as rumors are swirling CP3 and Harden literally cannot stand each other. i don't know if clearing the likes of Gordon and Capella and Tucker would be enough. OKC has made Adams available per reports to clear space and not go over the luxury tax this year. Draft wise - Pels are dangling that newly acquired #4 pick from the Lakers. Going to be an awesome couple of weeks ahead of pure chaos

trying to clear additional cap space for Middleton (and fearing somebody may nab Brogdon),
Bucks trade Tony Snell and a 1st (30th pick in the 1st) to the Pistons for Jon Leur saving 4 mil

Going to be an awesome couple of weeks ahead of pure chaos I think it's an established fact, not rumors. Amazing how this team went from being projected as a 60+ win team and a title contender to a virtual rebuild in a year's time. Brown had a rough beginning to the season but seemed to bounce back a little. Tatum was a huge disappointment and we still don't know if Hayward will ever be back. My guess is at least one of those guys if not two will be on the move this summer. Ainge bet it all on Kyrie and it blew up in his face. No AD, no Kyrie and now no Horford. As for the Celtics title chances, I think it's gonna be a long...long...time.

rumors have it you guys are going after Clint Capela. would you really want him? i mean - i think you guys were already depleted of 'bigs' and Horford would be another - but I was under the impression Capela disappointed last season after signing a big contract. what would you give up? couldn't be smart, hayward, tatum or brown. with kyrie leaving - don't you think Rozier may flourish again? maybe a couple of 2nd rounders and cash? heavily protected (like Top 20 1st?) rockets trying to clear cap space to go after Butler - can't see this happening. knicks shot down a CP3 deal

He was a bust after signing that big contract and this is already the land of underachievement. I like Rozier but his future is really up in the air right now. About a month ago he went on ESPN and tore into the Celtics, saying there would have to be major changes for him to come back. On the other hand, those major changes have happened, possibly with more to come. His presence isn't going to make or break this team, so whatever happens, happens.

pels pick up Jahlil Okafor's option this year - good for him - he showed flashes last year of reviving his career.
julius randle has opted out and apparently will not return and is testing the open market - apparently the Knicks are interested.
wonder what he commands on the open market. not much of a defender or threat from the outside - but i've always liked randle as a bullish '4'.
be curious what his cost would be if Harris bolts the Sixers and they could bring in Ersan (stretch 4) and Randle (old school 4) to share the PF responsibilities depending on matchups.

some respectable insiders predicting Eric Paschall of Villanova to the Sixers at 24.
will be very disappointed if this happens. think he'll be there in the 2nd round at one of their other picks if they want to take a flier on him. does nothing really well. and disappointed his senior season when it was time (and Booth's) to lead. i'd get my hands on Cam Johnson, Carsen Edwards, and Matisse Thybulle first (they all thrive at least one thing - Johnson and Edwards as shooters and Thybulle as a defender) and if Paschall is still there with the final 2 2nd rounders - go for it if you haven't traded them already.

Per Woj:
Hawks get #4 pic - wow.
They're going after Hunter to pair with Young per Woj.

I think we should have an NBA 2019/2020 thread.
Someone else get on that k thx.
btw, Raptors' title finally feels official... when I read Wikipedia's history of NBA champions list, that's when it truly sunk in. Los Angeles Lakers, Boston Celtics, Chicago Bulls, Miami Heat, Golden State Warriors... Toronto Raptors... that still makes me laugh & think how unbelievable it all is.

Introducing - New Sixers Potential Draft Prospect - 'Bol Bol'. Sixers Draft at #24 - Bol Bol is slated in some mocks in the mid teens right now but there's a possibility he can fall. You can't teach size folks. Manute's son. Kinda ironic the Sixers loaded up on Bigs for years - Noel, Okafor, Embiid and now they're looking for a respectable back up for Embiid. He'll be a lottery pick, or I won't post here for a week. See you in a week buddy
