I'm sure you've all heard of an NDE (Near Death Experience). The stories I've heard are virtually identical.
Atheist asshats say they are caused by the brain because it's 'so terrified' of dying that it makes up a little story to make the unconscious person who is dying 'feel better'. LOL.
Have you ever heard of anything more stupid? So I guess people who aren't afraid of dying shouldn't be having them.
First of all, if I'm unconscious and ready to become non-existent, unaware of anything around me, why in the hell would I need a little hallucination to make me feel better? Presumably, I wouldn't even know or care one way or another. So why would my brain bother to create this little "hallucination"?
Now, I'm sure Goz will pipe in about her car accident where she got knocked out for a few minutes and unconscious, and because she didn't experience anything other-wordly, she concluded that that's how it is when people die. She won't explain why her brain didn't produce a little story to make her feel better though.
Btw, the reason that happened is because at no point was she ever officially declared dead. She was just knocked out for a few.

Way to win people over with your faith. Insults, attitude, sheer arrogance, and pigheaded stubbornness.

I like your religious posts, you should do it more often. Your terrible theist arguments probably drive more people away from religion than Dawkins, Hitchens, and Harris could dream of. You're the best gift secularism could ever have, a brain dead Christian making brain dead arguments. Kudos.

Which atheists say that? Seems like an obvious strawman to me. There are a variety of naturalistic explanations of NDEs that are much more plausible than that. You can find a summary of some of them on the wikipedia page.

People who are too stupid to know the difference between spirituality, consciousness and religion are a waste of my time.

I've seen plenty of threads about NDEs on this board and the old IMDb board; and I don't remember any atheist making this argument. Nor have I seen it elsewhere. Just posting bullshit claims without ever providing a shred of evidence seems to be heeeeey 's modus operandi. And one reason she doesn't post evidence is that the evidence doesn't exist. lowtacks86 probably has a point.

Each and every time you post, sonny.
Actually, you might be on to something. You're obviously clinically brain-dead, yet you still keep having experiences. Mostly involving coming here and making an ass of yourself.

I'm a 'she', which goes to show that your perception skills suck too.

Stupid is genderless, sonny. But the name 'sonny' isn't, stupid. It is when I'm addressing you, as I could care less what gender you are. In fact, it's embarrassing to see a female be as dense as you are, so I'll stick with sonny.

Isn't it funny that every time a Bible thumper sees Jesus during an NDE, their description of Jesus of the blue-eyed, long blond-haired depiction popularized by Western art, and not the olive-skinned dude with a Jew 'fro that they should be expected to see?

You've heard them all, have you? Why do non-Christians and former atheists have them too? Why do people in other parts of the world have them?

You've heard them all, have you? Why do non-Christians and former atheists have them too? Why do people in other parts of the world have them? Have what? You presented a very limited perspective of what an "NDE" actually is to further your argument. That's just a poisoning the well fallacy. NDE can mean pretty much any number of things, at all face value all it means is "near death experience", not necessarily "spiritual experience", "religious experience", "supermantural experience", etc. I as a non believer could get into a car accident, have a severe sudden burst of adrenaline and sudden shockl, barely survive and I could call that an NDE, nothing particularly "spiritual" about that. Furthermore imagine if someone got into a car accident and for a brief second saw an halluciantion of a giant Stafy Puft Marshmellow Man. By your reasoning is that some how proof of the divinity of Zuul?
