Isn't it funny that every time a Bible thumper sees Jesus during an NDE, their description of Jesus of the blue-eyed, long blond-haired depiction popularized by Western art, and not the olive-skinned dude with a Jew 'fro that they should be expected to see? You've heard them all, have you? Why do non-Christians and former atheists have them too? Why do people in other parts of the world have them? Read some Jung, babygirl, if you want the answer to that.

You've heard them all, have you? Why do non-Christians and former atheists have them too? Why do people in other parts of the world have them? Have what? You presented a very limited perspective of what an "NDE" actually is to further your argument. That's just a poisoning the well fallacy. NDE can mean pretty much any number of things, at all face value all it means is "near death experience", not necessarily "spiritual experience", "religious experience", "supermantural experience", etc. I as a non believer could get into a car accident, have a severe sudden burst of adrenaline and sudden shockl, barely survive and I could call that an NDE, nothing particularly "spiritual" about that. Furthermore imagine if someone got into a car accident and for a brief second saw an halluciantion of a giant Stafy Puft Marshmellow Man. By your reasoning is that some how proof of the divinity of Zuul? When has that ever happened, idiot? And while you're at it, why don't you explain what an hallucination is, why they're all different, and why the NDEs are essentially the same?

"why don't you explain what an hallucination is"
A sensory perception of something that does not exist, arising from disorder of the nervous system, as in delirium tremens; a delusion. hallucination(Noun) The act of hallucinating; a wandering of the mind; an error, mistake or blunder.
"why they're all different"
Probably because of different cultural/religious/poltical backgrounds and personal experiences.
"why the NDEs are essentially the same?"
They're not, that just a flat out lie on your part.

Do you put faith in doctors when you're ill? Do you put faith in the farmers who put food on your table, that the food will be there provided via their human agency? Do you put faith in the thousand and one human based technologies, large and small, you rely on every day (like the internet you're using right now) to be available to you when you need them? If so, you're putting faith in that 'mere man' you refer to so disparagingly, honey.
You're beyond ignorant. Ignorance implies a correctable condition, should the sufferer ever tire of being behind the curve of the smarter people in the room. You're a permanent resident of the subcontinent of stupid, probably due to actual intellectual impairments--in which case you're to be pitied, but no one else is under any obligation to give weight of any kind to your inane pronouncements because of your pitiable state.

No. Doctors are glorified drug pushers, and farmers abuse livestock and put chemicals in the food. YOU are ignorant, but someday you will pull your head out your ass and see daylight. As for technology, that came from the ideas and inspiration. Inspiration isn't in the brain either, numbnuts.

But I doubt if you know any of those names (if you attempt it, my guess is you're going to put up religious figures). Science doesn't seek to hew to established fact, by the way--it functions through finding the facts that then become established through research and applied knowledge. You're not smart enough to see that, hence you put the cart before the horse--Science doesn't come in the door knowing the facts, it seeks to find them. Religion does the exact opposite.
And sweet jesus, I really hope you don't count yourself among the ranks of those 'forward/open thinkers', as you have to be able to think in order to join them (as well as having a mind not occluded by sky-fairy beliefs), something you show no evidence of being able to do.

Not once have I referred to religion. You refer to religion so that you can use your stupid little 'sky fairy' analogy that you think makes you look so smart. I don't belong to any religion, so if you want to focus on religion, go be stupid somewhere else.

I'm sure you've all heard of an NDE (Near Death Experience). The stories I've heard are virtually identical. Atheist asshats say they are caused by the brain because it's 'so terrified' of dying that it makes up a little story to make the unconscious person who is dying 'feel better'. LOL. Have you ever heard of anything more stupid? So I guess people who aren't afraid of dying shouldn't be having them. First of all, if I'm unconscious and ready to become non-existent, unaware of anything around me, why in the hell would I need a little hallucination to make me feel better? Presumably, I wouldn't even know or care one way or another. So why would my brain bother to create this little "hallucination"? Now, I'm sure Goz will pipe in about her car accident where she got knocked out for a few minutes and unconscious, and because she didn't experience anything other-wordly, she concluded that that's how it is when people die. She won't explain why her brain didn't produce a little story to make her feel better though. Btw, the reason that happened is because at no point was she ever officially declared dead. She was just knocked out for a few. When you're dying there really is little point having a shit, but you do it anyway.
