I'm sure you've all heard of an NDE (Near Death Experience). The stories I've heard are virtually identical. Atheist asshats say they are caused by the brain because it's 'so terrified' of dying that it makes up a little story to make the unconscious person who is dying 'feel better'. LOL. Have you ever heard of anything more stupid? So I guess people who aren't afraid of dying shouldn't be having them. First of all, if I'm unconscious and ready to become non-existent, unaware of anything around me, why in the hell would I need a little hallucination to make me feel better? Presumably, I wouldn't even know or care one way or another. So why would my brain bother to create this little "hallucination"? Now, I'm sure Goz will pipe in about her car accident where she got knocked out for a few minutes and unconscious, and because she didn't experience anything other-wordly, she concluded that that's how it is when people die. She won't explain why her brain didn't produce a little story to make her feel better though. Btw, the reason that happened is because at no point was she ever officially declared dead. She was just knocked out for a few. When you're dying there really is little point having a shit, but you do it anyway. And you equate that to the brain making up a spiritual experience? Boy, the idiots really come out of the woodwork here.

Which goes back to the point of this thread: Why in the hell would the brain give enough of a shit to create a spiritual experience (consistent with other experiencers) when the person is unconscious, unaware, maybe even comatose and dying anyway? Why not just blank out into non-existence? And why wouldn't it be more diverse instead of creating the same experience for everyone who has experienced one? I know your arrogance and stubbornness will dream up as many unsubstantiated excuses as your non-physical mind can come up with to explain it to yourself.

There are many scientific dissertations on the physiology of NDE, however I am posting this link which I hope you will read, because it explains things nicely for people who might not otherwise understand the complex biochemistry and other associated aspects of NDE and Out of Body experiences which are similar butt not the same. owlcation.com/stem/The-Truth-About-Near-Death-Experience-Scientific-ExplanationsIf you don't read this and do your customary anti-intellectual tl:dr bullshit, we will all know that you are just trolling for attention and not really interested in the topic or in fact any reasoned or logical explanations for anything and are quite happy to wallow in your own ignorance. The science of NDE are proven facts whether you like it or not.

If that's the same study you posted before on the other IMDb website, I already countered that by saying that being able to simulate an experience doesn't disprove the genuine experience. I find it ironic that you were annoyed that I told you what you believe, yet you don't mind that NDE experiencers are being told what they did or didn't experience. And the athenticity of OBEs has been proven already. As for your other comment that the soul dies with the body, you're wrong about that too. Everything is made of energy, and energy cannot be destroyed. The soul is eternal. Your mindset is similar to primitives looking for the voices they hear on the radio by taking it apart.

When you dream, that's pretty much the same process at work--it's not consciously dictated. When a schizophrenic hallucinates, it's the result of chemical imbalances in the brain; again, not a conscious process, but a biochemical one. Are you really so backward as to have no awareness of this?
The stupid one here is you, and numbingly so.

You didn't read it, did you? ..as it most certainly was not the same website nor did it say anything about You are truly pathetic and a liar. It has NOT been proven that NDE are anything more than neurological biochemistry, HAD you read this new article you would have know this as it specifically states So no-one is saying that they don't happen just that they are understandable in terms of neuro-science and NOT religious or 'spiritual' interpretations. I am not wrong and I agree about energy never being destroyed. On death, however it is transferred to other things than what you call 'soul'. 'Ashes to ashes, dust to dust'. The 'life force' as energy within the body dies with the brain in the body. It is impossible for anything else since the seat of life, cognition and consciousness is seated in the brain and its complex biochemistry.

I know enough about atoms and their structure to know that what you say is outright bullshit. Even an atom taken from those 'ashes' continues to give off energy. Energy doesn't die, no matter where it is. You are no more intelligent than those primitives who believe the voices they hear on the radio are little people inside of the radio. In fact, even primitive peoples, especially the aborigines in your own country, are wiser where it concerns consciousness. Every other culture in the world believes in the eternal spirit/consciousness. The mindset you have is unique to the West.

You are so stupid and ignorant concerning these matters, it's like discussing this topic with a preschooler. Dreams are a product of the imagination as well. In fact, many artists and scientists have said their greatest ideas and inventions, songs, etc., came to them in dreams. Where do you think inspiration comes from? A little corner in the brain too? Tesla was the greatest scientist who ever lived, and I would believe what he taught through his experience before I would believe an fartbrain like you, who has ZERO understanding of the field that surrounds everything and the vibrations and frequencies and energies that exist outside of material objects and density.

The brain is an incredible machine. It can make us see all kinds of things when it's firing on all cylinders, especially during a traumatic experience.

Is it as dumb as the explanation given for this experience by theists?
Let’s face it, none of us really know what’s going on outside our experience.

You see, you already knew the answer. ALL thought, consciousness, memories, dreams, NDE and everything else are seated in the wonderful human brain which sadly dies with us and ALL those things. NOTHING continues except perhaps in the memories of others( and books letters art etc physical evidence left after your existence ceases), if you are lucky.
