The Innocents. Night of the Demon (Curse of the Demon in the US I believe).
Going to dig Dead of Night, and The Haunting, out of me DVD pile. Make a weekend's evenings out of it👍

The Fast and the Furious (2001) - DVDNever seen the first film before and thought I might just give it a chance. Cannot be as a bad as some of the later ones, or so I like to think. Watched it last night, and it was, well not all that bad and would probably enjoyed it a bit more if I had seen it first in the summer of 2001 as a teenager. As an action and very heavily vehicle-fast paced movie it sure do come with some very impressive stunts and scenes, but the paper thin plot and its characters do not give it much justice, and while I thought Vin Diesel and Paul Walker did mostly an okay job, but the rest of the crew was a waste of space (especially the always as annoying Michelle Rodriguez and her "look how bad ass I am" face) they only ended up getting on my nerves a few too many times over. As mentioned, I would probably be more favorable towards the film if I had seen it back when I was a teenager, but then again having seen and loved the other huge fast paced cars action film of the early 00s, which was to be Gone in 60 Seconds (2000), I thought The Fast and the Furious was nowhere near as good or entertaning, and yet another movie I will see once then never again. 5/10

Nah, it was a blind-purchase. Always been curious about this one. Looks kinda dopey from the trailer, and Reb Brown mugging every shot with a doleful expression. However I do enjoy these type of films. I mainly picked up the bluray for the Brown commentary track. I understand. Hope it is a good one though. Been meaning of looking up a few of Reb Brown's "classics" myself, but right now that might take a little while as I have just about too damn many other titles which comes first on my to-watch list. Space Mutiny (1988) looks "awesomely" bad, and then of course is another one which I have always wanted to catch up with, which is the Predator rip-off known as Robowar (1988).

I need to start getting back into my watch list pile. Constantly buying, or saving movies on streaming devices aren’t doing me any favours on keeping on top of it I’ve not watched “Robowar”, but oh man, “Space Mutiny” is cheese. Extra cheesy goodness.

Have a small "mountain" of DVDs, Blu-rays and VHS tapes that I must try to go through, sooner or later. But I only end up making it larger, day by day as today I ended up purchasing even more impulse buys, knowingly well that maybe 1 or 2 percent of them might have a chance of ending up as permanent members in my movie collection.
I looked up a few copies of Space Mutiny, and holy overpricedaoly, some of the copies released to DVD goes for crazy prices, not sure if I will even bother thinking about getting one of those, maybe a VHS copy, or hopefully it is uploaded online. Sadly, as I really thought it looked "promising" by the trailer, but it has to be more than just promising to live up to some of those ridiculous prices.
Today's buys:
Shortcut (2009) - DVD Norwegian horror-thriller, never seen but as with the 99 percent of norwegian movies I have witnessed in my life, it is usually see it once, then never again.
2 Fast 2 Furious (2003) & Fast & Furious (2009) - DVD Well, last week I saw the first one, and while not exactly a great movie at any means, it was still a decent way of throwing away 100 minutes on, maybe one of those might do a little better on the rating scale, but I will not go in with any expectations this time.
Case 39 (2009) - DVD Horror-thriller which is just another impulse buy.
The Thomas Crown Affair (1999) - DVD I remember that this one got some good reviews back in the day but I think it kind of got overshadowed by another late 90s heist thriller also released that same year, which was The Entrapment with Sean Connery and Cathrine Zeta Jones.
Far and Away (1992) - DVD Not a fan of Tom Cruise but he often have a talent of staring in rather good movies, never seen it and is just another impulse buy.
Richie Rich (1994) - DVD This one I am actually kind of glad I picked up, never seen it and always wanted to, even if the other Richie Rich film, the chrismas themed one which came out a few years later was not all that, I thought it deserved a chance.
The Lady in the Van (2015) - DVD I've always been fond of Maggie Smith, and while yet another impulse buy, it looks like a cozy british comedy and hopefully it is too.
Practical Magic (1998) - DVD Not sure what kind of film this is, but it looks like a fantasy comedy with I guess some romantic thrown in as well. Impulse buy.
Heroic Duo (2003) - DVD Aka Hong Kong Knights, looks like it might be a good action film, but then again I have been wrong for far too many times as of lately.
Pan (2015) - Blu-ray Heard mostly not so positive things about it, but for such a cheap priced item, I thought let me be the judge of that and if it stinks then it is not the end of the world.
Scary Movie 4 (2006) - DVD I had no idea they made so many sequels, but since I "survived" the awful part two and three, I might as well head into yet another horror show.
Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid (1973) - DVD Always wanted to see this one and today I found it, so that might just be one of the better impulse purchases of recently, or so I hope.
Kong: Skull Island (2017) - DVD I have only seen a handful of the King Kong movies, mostly the older ones and up to the one with Linda Hamilton in the 80s, but I am not sure if I ever caught a hold of the Peter Jackson one or not. Anyway, I might just start up again with the whole franchise by going with the original first, then upwards and to the last one.

The "Beethoven" 8 film pack... Sometimes I just wanna watch something nice. Lol. The sequels aren't awful and at least have the same cast after part 2."Big break" reboots the series & repeats beats from part 1 & 2. Haven't watched the Christmas movie yet. But have heard it's the cheesiest of the bunch.
It also stars Andrew Pichler in one entry. He was the kid brother in "Varsity Blues". He mysteriously disappeared a few years ago. Was never found. Suicide is suspected. A shame.
"Taco Shop" I really only bought this for Tyler Posey. Hope it doesn't suck. ×D

Todays movie hunt resulted with:
Overboard (1987) - DVD Bought the exact same copy on DVD last autumn, however it was a used rental disc, full of scratches and dirt, so I decided to do a little double-dip, as such a good movie I do not want to end up sitting there all ready to go, and halfway in the film either completely freezes or begins to jump in all the wrong ways. Great late 80s screwball title, which I have not seen for years but always enjoyed it. Well worth having two of the same movie.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - Rise of the Turtles (2012) - DVD I never have seen this new version of my old childhood favorites, but I guess it is a long way from the late 80s and early 90s animated show. However, I have only heard positive things about this Nickelodeon produced series, and decided to pick up a volume consisting of 5 episodes.
The Torpedos (2014) - DVD Swedish mini-series which was to be one of todays many impulse buys.
Jack Reacher: Never Go Back (2016) - DVD The other Jack Reacher chapter I have seen starring Tom Cruise was such a ego dominated one, that it was more of a parody than to be taken as a "serious" action-thriller, this I guess will continue with more of the same, but would be nice if I was surprised for once.
The Foreigner (2017) - DVD mikef6 started an interesting thread/review of this film, and I stumbled upon a 3 for the price of 2 deal where I decided to include this Jackie Chan and Pierce Brosnan action-thriller along with. Hopefully it is a good one.
Thor: Ragnarok (2017) - DVD Part 2 of the 3 for 2 movie deal. Not expecting much, as I rarely do with the Marvel Universe titles, but this actually did look kind of fun, so maybe for once I might enjoy it enough to keep one of them in my collection.
Daddy's Home 2 (2017) - DVD Not seen a fun or slightly good christmas themed movie made in recent years for, well far too many and while surely this will probably not sit down as a "classic", I thought it looked okay and since it have both Mel Gibson and John Litgow in it, I might as well give it a go. Never seen the first one, but this was the end of the part 3 in the 3 for the price of two movie deal of today.
Oblivion (2013) - DVD Another Tom Cruise impulse buy, seems like it might be a promising one, but again I do not hope for all that much, beside maybe a good/above average sci-fi/action ride.
Parenthood (1989) - Blu-ray A solid Steve Martin comedy/drama which features a very good cast and while I already own the DVD, I thought for such a cheap price, I could upgrade it with a new Blu-ray, just in case.
War for the Planet of the Apes (2017) - Blu-ray and Dawn of the Planet of the Apes (2014) - DVD Beside the mediocre and forgettable Tim Burton remake from 2001, I do not think I have ever seen any of the more recent films, but I thought I might as well start doing something about it, as they look more than promising.
Fast & Furious 6 (2013) - DVD I skipped ahead of several of the sequels this time, and went straight ahead for part 6. Never seen it but I guess it will be another 100-120 minutes of the usual stuff, which mean another 5/10 film, full of over-the-top CGI effects in full motion, and surely backed up by yet another braindead and already done to death "plot" if there ever was one.
21 Jump Street (2012) - DVD Picked up the sequel on impulse a few weeks go, but since I have not yet seen that one, I could just as well start up with the first one and see where it leads me next.
DAG: Season 3 - DVD Norwegian TV-series which I have only seen the first two season of, but did not know they actually went on with two more as I lost interest halfway through the second one.
Boyz n the Hood (1991) - Blu-ray Not seen the entire film but some of it, and that on TV maybe 20 years or more ago. Think I got a pretty good deal, for such a cheaply priced title.
Get Hard (2015) - Blu-ray Another Will Ferrell movie, not a big fan but again, extremely cheap almsot brand new copy, and well I might as well just give it a chance.
Snowpiercer (2014) - Blu-ray Another impulse buy. Lots of familiar names and faces but never seen or heard of the movie before.
xXx (2002) - DVD Impulse buy, no question about it. I thought the "sequel" was a piece of smelly turd, but I guess the first one might do better.
Running Scared (2006) - DVD Paul Walker movie, which is again just another impulse buy.
Three Kings (1999) - DVD Not seen since summer of 2000 on VHS rental video.
Shout at the Devil (1976) - DVD Roger Moore and Lee Marvin in the main leads. Never seen but seems like a promising one.
National Lampoon Presents Dorm Daze (2003) - DVD I have a weakness to end up hoping for something of the same quality or entertainment when I see the National Lampoon brand on a movie cover, but I guess hoping for a Vacation or an Animal House is maybe expecting far too much this time.
Hail, Ceasar! (2016) - DVD I like some of the older 80s and 90s movies the Coen brothers put out, but very few of their modern ones have done anything for me, this I only picked up on sheer impulse.
Children of Dune (2003) - DVD Not seen the film since of 2003, and remember very little other than some giant sand worms and that Sting seemed to resemble Rutger Hauer from Blade Runner in some dramatic knife fight right at the end of it. This however, I think was a mini-series and not an actual movie.
The Running Man (1987) - DVD Picked up the exact same copy as last week, but for such a fun filled and cheesy action adventure, I can easily find room for yet another one.
Pirates (1986) - DVD Picked up this action-adventure movie only because I have always been a fan of Walter Matthau, but this I have never known of until today that is.

Rented “The Evil Dead (2013)” the other day thought it was a hell of a movie. Loved the modernized classic visual effects. One of the better remakes I’ve ever seen and will definitely purchase eventually.

I went a little to over the "top" with todays purchases, many I will likely ever bother watching again, but since few of them cost me that much, I guess I cannot complain.
Fast & Furious 5 (2010) - Blu-ray Only got it to try and finish this mediocre (at best) action franchise once and for all.
Kingsman: The Golden Circle (2017) - DVD Do not remember much from the first one, but it was okay I guess. Found a dirt cheap, brand new DVD copy and will not go in expecting too much this time around.
The Hateful Eight (2015) - DVD Never been much of a Tarantino fan. Enjoyed some of his earlier stuff, but after Kill Bill Vol. 1 and 2 I pretty much lost interest completely in his work.
The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus (2009) - DVD Impulse buy.
Nixon (1995) - DVD Impulse buy.
Final Destination 3 (2006) - DVD Never knew it had a sequel, let alone a third one as well. The first was okay, not much else than that but I actually enjoyed part 3 almost a bit more, or of that I can remember. Anyway, another day, another impulse buy.
Krampus (2015) - DVD Not that many great or very good, christmas themed horror releases, however I have heard mostly postive things about this one.
Recess: School's Out (2001) - DVD One of the very few Disney animated shows, I kind of enjoyed for a short while when Disney Channel would air it in the early 00s. Never knew it made it into the movies as well.
Home on the Range (2004) - DVD Another one of the more modern Disney "classics" I have yet to see, but thought I might do, when it came for such a cheap price.
Muppet Treasure Island (1996) - DVD Used to love watching the Muppets films as a kid, this however I have still not seen.
Bröllopsfotografen (2009) - DVD Swedish comedy. Never seen, and once more another impulse buy.
The Punisher (2004) - DVD I was somewhat left disappointed by this when I first saw it back in 2004. Loved the 1989 version, but the new one just did not sit that well with me. However, I really enjoyed the Punisher: War Zone (2008) which followed a few years after, but I think was more of a DTV release. Hopefully a second view might change things around, as I really wanted to enjoy the 2004 movie much more than I remembered.
The LEGO: Ninjago Movie (2017) - DVD Not been exactly too impressed by the "quality" of these animated movies, well maybe beside the Lego Batman: The Movie – DC Super Heroes Unite (2013). That one was actually both fun and a very pleasant surprise, sadly the Batman Lego Movie (2017) turned out to be a huge letdown, easily one of the worst films I have seen that of last year.
Midsomer Murders - DVD Got a hold of a whole bunch of cheap DVDs which features these episodes and have three on each release:
Box 04 - Dead Man's Eleven/Death of a Stranger/Blue Herrings (1999) Box 07 - Tainted Fruit/Ring Out Your Dead/Murder On St Malley's Day (2001) Box 08 - Marked for Murder/A Worm in the Bud/A Talent for Life (2002) Box 09 - Death and Dreams/Painted in Blood/A Tale of Two Hamlets (2002) Box 10 - Birds of Prey/The Green Man/Bad Tidings (2003) Box 11 - The Fisher King/Sins of Commison/The Maid in Splendour (2003) Box 13 - Dead in the Water/Orchis Fatalis/Bantling Boy (2004) Box 15 - Midsomer Rhapsody/The House in the Woods/Dead Letters (2004) Box 16 - Vixen's Run/Among the Dead Men/Four Funerals and a Wedding (2005) Box 18 - Dance with the Dead/The Animal Within/The King's Crystal (2006) Box 19 - The Axeman Cometh/Death and Dust/A Picture of Innocence (2006) Box 21 - Shot at Down/Left for Dead/Midsomer Life (2007) Box 25 - The Great and the Good/The Made-To-Measure Murders/Sword of Guillaume (2007-09)
The Moomins (1990) - DVD Another great find, as this one features the classic episode Small Visitors which scared the hell out of many kids of the late 80s and early 90s, with the introduction of the chilling Hufsa or The Groke.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2012-2014) - DVD Mutagen Mayhem/Enter Shredder/Into Dimension X 3 more DVDs containing about 4-5 episodes each, of the updated Nickelodeon animated series.
I Am Ozzy (2011) - Hardcover Was very pleased to find this biography for such a cheap price, almost brand new and cost me literally nothing.
Batman: Earth One (2012) - Paperback Thought I might updated my Batman comic collection and this one I have never read or heard of until of today.
The Blue Nile - Hats (1989) - CD I am looking forwards to this album, as it seems like their debut A Walk Across The Rooftops (1984) is slowly becoming one of my favorite records as of lately.
Steely Dan - Pretzel Logic (1974) - CD Steely Dan - The Royal Scam (1976) - CD Two impulse buys for the price of one. Have already got Aja (1977) but still not heard it yet. Hope they might be as good as many people say.

Well, I ended up doing a bit of impulse shopping today as well, this time I am glad I did as I found or picked up several titles I have been wanting to own in my movie/music collection for a very long time.
Mio in the Land of Faraway (1987) - DVD A scandinavian/russian fantasy movie based upon one of Astrid Lindgren's many books. Never seen but always wanted to, and found a complete brand new, unopened DVD copy of it for the price of nothing, well almost.
Daddy's Home (2015) - DVD Picked up the christmas themed sequel a couple of weeks ago (or less), but thought it would be wise to start out by seeing the first one, then the second.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Ultimate Showdown (2012) - DVD Another volume of the modern made Nickelodeon produced animated show, and comes with 5-6 episodes on it.
Nirvana: Live at Reading (2009) - DVD Decided to pick up this legendary live concert which also features a booklet and a CD of the same show.
Frank Zappa - Does Humor Belong in Music? (2003) - DVD A concert video from the 1984 Live concert.
The Moomins: The Time Machine (1989) - DVD More of the classic animated children show from my youth.
Wonderland (2003) - DVD Val Kilmer movie, impulse buy.
Outbreak (1995) - DVD Thriller starring Dustin Hoffman, Morgan Freeman and Rene Russo. Think I might have seen it back in the day, but its been a long while since and I do not remember too much of it.
Champion (1949) - DVD Kirk Douglas, boxing movie which seems to have been a big influence on later boxing genre films.
A Prairie Home Companion (2006) - DVD Impulse buy, mostly because of the impressive cast.
Get Smart's Bruce and Lloyd: Out of Control (2008) - DVD Impulse buy, not sure how this made it into the movies but I guess since they could not make the main leads from Get Smart to return for a sequel, they just decided to go for the "B-Team" in stead and hope for the best.
Dial M for Murder (1955) - DVD This I am very happy to find, as it is one of those classic Alfred Hitchcock titles I have been wanting to own for years but never actually found a physical copy of it lying around in any movie store, until today that is.
Captain America: Civil War (2016) - DVD Not sure if I already bought this a while back, but it will probably not matter much. As with 99,9 percent of the Marvel movies, it is watch once then never again kind of entertainment. Easy to digest, even easier to forget.
Midnight Run (1988) - DVD Already own two copies of this all time great action-comedy masterpiece, but since it was just lying there for the price of nothing, I thought I should take it home with me as it surely deserved a much better fate than to lie next to Adam Sandler and Ben Stiller far too many turds.
Prefab Sprout - Andromeda Heights (1997) - CD Very happy with this find. Have only 3-4 of their albums, but they never have let me down and made some of the most stunningly beautiful and clever pop-rock music of the 80s and early 90s.
The Waterboys - This is the Sea (1985) - CD Impulse buy, pretty much because I remember some very fine words about their 80s albums a while back, hope that it is a great match.
Dinosaur Jr - Green Mind (1991) - CD The Breeders - Last Splash (1993) - CD Simple Minds - Once Upon a Time (1985) - CD Dire Straits - Dire Straits (1980) - CD
The Making of Star Wars: Episode 1: The Phantom Menace (1999) - Paperback Not a big fan of this film but I do enjoy a good reading and like to keep on upgrading my movie/music library.

The "Beethoven" 8 film pack... Holy shit, they made eight of those??!! That's my thought as well. I do enjoy the first two, and while not exactly great movies I tend to overlook those things as the nostalgia factor makes up for it and more. However, that is 6 films too many! I have barely managed to get through part 3 and 4 starring Judge Reinhold and they turned out to be some of the absolute worst, most annoyingly unfunny films I have ever encountered. Shocking to learn how many more of those turds they could squeeze out, just to milk the last drop of the far superior original movies. This kind of unnecessary big movie box set kind of reminds me of the Home Alone franchise a bit. You get to two classics and the rest is, well not even close to being good, even though I would probably still prefer the awful part 4 and 5 of that series anytime or day over the much later and far worse Beethoven DTV sequels.

Do share your thoughts on it once you've watched it. That might take a while, with the World Cup still going strong, it have been very little time to watch any movies for my part, but I will post a review of it in the action/adventure section when I finally do so.

Dinosaur Jr - Green Mind (1991) - CD The Breeders - Last Splash (1993) - CD
'90s classics. Well done. I might not be the biggest fan nor was I never really all that "updated" on much of what went on during the early 90s alternative rock scene, but these two bands I have only heard great stuff about, and should probably have picked up on some of their releases years ago. But, as usual I am a slow as hell learner when it comes to finding or discovering "new" music. But when I do and it works out more than well, then I am one happy chap.

That might take a while, with the World Cup still going strong, it have been very little time to watch any movies for my part, but I will post a review of it in the action/adventure section when I finally do so. I never think to look at that board, but I'll be on the lookout for that. I hope you'll do, as it seems like you know you're action movies well and it would be nice to have a few more regular posters in the Action and Adventure board section. I do not like to complain or try to push it on other users but it is kind of sad how low the activity really are at times on such boards within the Genre section, as there is so much potential for great discussions or just finding new or old favorite movies, that or sharing ones favorite scenes/moments, music and so on, but beside maybe myself, Lostinlimbo, Dramatic Look Gopher and a few others, it is almost as "lively" as in a graveyard. I was pretty much spoiled back in the "golden days" 2004-07 when one had classic and great action and horror forums such as the Friday the 13th Community or places such as Commandofans.com which featured some legendary stuff in their message boards. Sadly, those days are long gone and I kind of hoped some of the people/regulars of those sites would maybe still be around to liven the Action & Adventure board up a bit, but I guess they either have found other places or just do not have neither time or interest anylonger, which I can understand as most of the topics/themes have been talked and discussed almost till death, but still it would be great to see some new posters hanging around, specially in the action, comedy and sci-fi boards, as I think those places desperately needs some kind of "new blood" to boost things up a bit.

Snow White: A Tale of Terror (DVD)
Watching this tonight with my girlfriend. Don't know quite what to expect, but it looks nuttier than squirrel poop, so...
4 Horror Comedy Classics - Elvira: Mistress of the Dark/Transylvania 6-5000/Return of the Killer Tomatoes/House II (DVD)
Watched Elvira and Transylvania last weekend. Elvira gets by on a lot of charm from its lead; Transylvania less so. I already owned House II and have yet to watch Killer Tomatoes.
Humanoids from the Deep (DVD)
Watched it the other night. Loved it. Will share my review soon.
The Replacements - Tim - Expanded/Remastered (CD)
Already owned the original release. The bonus tracks are nice to have and the remaster sounds great.
M83 - Dead Cities, Red Seas & Lost Ghosts (CD)
The original, 2-disc release. Downloaded this years ago, wanted the physical.
Dinosaur Jr. - Beyond (CD) Scott Lucas and The Married Men - George Lassos The Moon (CD)
eBay finds. Dinosaur Jr. was dirt cheap and brand new; Scott Lucas is near impossible to find at a decent price. Both great albums.
