I can hardly remember it! I didn't think about that Russian after it. The plot hole that i thought about was the hidden money in the house? The mother's money? Janice was supposedly looking for it and then they dropped it.
Janice mentions the money again right before Junior dies, she ostensibly wants it to pay for his care and Tony laughs at her. I think Junior brings it up at some point, remembering cash from a job back in the 50's, but he's already senile by that point.

I have wanted to watch The Sopranos for years and just recently finally decided to dive in. I'm about six or seven episodes into the first season, and I gotta say I'm not that impressed. It's okay, but not mind-blowingly good. The first season seems a little amateurish to be honest. The clips I've seen on YouTube make the show seem so much better. Is the first season a weaker one? I don't even know if I am going to bother with it after the first season. just started watching the show for the first time in my life, will let u know

I like it a lot, although I have to admit I only started watching it because it aired on free tv in my country. It has a lot of filler though and some really annoying supporting characters. Tony's sister was probably the worst. I also think that as it went on positive reviews began to reflect on the show and the writers started thinking themselves smarter than they actually were. It also led to some people expecting too much of the show. I mean the finale came with such high expectations that there was no way it was going to fulfill them. Yea Janice was one of the big character that I literally couldn’t stand on a rewatch. She’s just so scummy and I can’t think of literally any aspect of her personality that I like. Like, the show has a million scumbags...but most of them have redeemable qualities that make them entertaining or even likeable at times. Janice is one that pretty much up to her last scene I wanted to get run over by a bus.

The episode where Ralph kills his girlfriend in the parking lot-I heard the actress was told by people they cancelled their cable subscription because of it. The one where Tony and Ralph discuss Pie-Oh-My and the barn fire is a shocker. The way they could suddenly kill off a major character was probably the most unique thing about it.
I think they wimped out of an interesting plot thread by not having Tony find out about the Melfi rape. She didn't have to tell him-he could have found out by a chance conversation with someone else.
Of the ones I remember, my favorite episode is where Bobby is out with Tony on a camping trip and Bobby explains he couldn't be a hitman like his father was-he couldn't take a life---but he's a recreational hunter so Tony forces him to do the job of killing an innocent civilian.
It's impossible to watch Goodfellas now without thinking of the Sopranos, especially during the "I'm alright Spider, fuck you Tommy" scene.

I've watched Sopranos 3x and can't believe I made that mistake. I think this last time was probably the last time for a long time. It wasn't as fun the 3rd time around. Best thing about watching it multiple times is focusing on different characters. This last time I tried to see the plot through Carm's eyes and realized that Edie Falco is the best actor in the show and emotes like few actors can.

Tony says often regarding his mutha and uncle Junior... Hes/she's dead to me. I agree with you regarding Edie. You see her reaction to Christopher's death ? Like it's real life for her and his last name was FALCO!

I couldnt stand Richie but yeah he was an interesting character too. I also like the Fed who was handling Puss. And of course I have low key hots for Tony....even though his flaws irritate me. but thats kinda expected of the female viewers of the show, no?

He is not hot when you just look at him, its his behavior (not his criminal activity but his confidence) but even physically I really like his smile and appreciate his body, which must sound weird yes because he is overweight. And thats not what I typically like but his build is also strong not just fat. All in all, I find him attractive. But I believe many female viewers did/do. Also he is the only attractive male in all 3 seasons... there is Plenty hot women but only 1 Tony

He knew how to take care of his family, knew how to provide, saw bs from his kids and didn't stand for it [well, Carmella killed any sort of discipline he tried to do], took care of other people and his [unfortunate] goomas. take a lot of bs from work related pals and that's okay because you cant go around killing everyone who pisses you off. Apparently, He was written as attractive, as well... he had plenty of women who could have anyone pick him.
