You will get no argument from me there. Then if you agree it brings me back to my original question. If Christ is guiding the Catholic Church, why would he allow it to amass a record that makes it look like it is run by the sort of wolves that he warned people to avoid? (My answer: He wouldn't. Therefore, he doesn't guide the Church.)
I already told you the answer. Free Will. Christ GUIDES the Church. He Doesn't Control its members like robots.

after the poor were graciously taken care of
currently in the united stated of hysteria one can disregard almost every form of what used to be called america because someone got called out on a manifested destiny which resembled remarkably a string of slave ship waiting anxiously to offload cargo simultaneously but there was only so much dock you see.
now we have jews and christians pointing laser guided missiles at everyone. seeings how the poor are just this close to being well-done.
and when jesus finally returns, i have dibs on the new definition of the word: fun.

Then your point is just what I suggested before...that people shouldn't expect an institution that is led by Christ to act any better than an institution led by ordinary, selfish humans...that Christ doesn't think that the institution that HE leads must show itself to the world as much better than other institutions - which he could easily do by making sure that only people he deems worthy have positions of leadership, just as he made sure by starting with Peter.
But since he doesn't, that means Christ shouldn't blame anyone for not becoming a part of that institution.
