I have comprehensively PROVEN your stance is not held by the qualified professionals, you clearly have not read the things I posted. Please dont reply unless you can stop being a broken and incorrect record. You have proven nothing that related to DNA evidence of whatever 'religion' is defined as. It would help if you answered my question about what is religion defined as, so it can be compared to DNA components, which MUST appear in the links that you posted. It is not for me to hunt. It is your claim that DNA had been linked to 'religion. WTF is religion, in scientific terms? I have comprehensively PROVEN your stance is not held by the qualified professionals, you clearly have not read the things I posted. Have you ever seen a germ or an atom? How do you know they exist? Have you ever seen, or even heard of, an electron microscope?

I am sorry that you are having a hard time understanding this. You replied to my conversation with Paulslaugh. The reason I am not interested in continuing conversing along these lines is that I have successfully proved what I set out to , that your claim is not held by the all relevant experts. And you can suggest whatever you like, your opinion means very little to me.

It is irrelevant what multiple professionals in multiple associated fields have to say on this main assertion of mine that DNA is NOT linked to religion. They are NOT the relevant professionals to answer this question. There is NO gene linked scientifically with any religion. Prove there is and I will say you are correct.

try reading Matthew,Mark,Luke, John,1&2 Peter, 1,2,3 John, Acts of the Apostles, the letters of Paul, Hebrews and Revelation why does it matter what those say? Are they true? the scriptures are the Proof of the TRUTH of the Word of God. eyewitness testimony of the nature, character and Persons of the Trilogy of the Godhead. - God making Himself known through His Word, -
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God.
All things came into being by Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being. In Him was life; and the life was the light of men.
and the light shines in the darkness; and the darkness did not comprehend it.
There was a man , sent from God, whose name was John. He came for a witness, that he might bear witness of the light,
that all might believe through him. He was not the light, but came that he might bear witness of the light.
There was the true light which, coming into the world, enlightens every man. He was in the world, and the world was made through Him,
and the world did not know Him. He came to His own, and those who were His own did not receive Him.
But as many as receive Him, to them he gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name,
who were born not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, glory as the only begotten from the Father,
full of grace and truth." John 1: 1- 14
if you are looking for Eternal Truths, look in the Bible. especially the new testament.
I recommend you start with the Gospel of John. I ask the Holy Spirit to speak to your heart.

Prove there is and I will say you are correct. I don't think anyone has made the claim that a gene is linked to any specific religion, that would be like claiming that someone had a specific gene to attract them to another specific individual. Also no one thinks sexual orientation (any more than artistic, musical or linguistic ability) is determined by any single gene. The genetic component would be a collection of genes in all of these cases, and I'd see no reason for receptiveness to religion to be any different. It's not hard to google "scientific study of genetics and religious behavior". Here is a top hit: New Scientist: Genes contribute to religious inclination

No, the scriptures are not proof that what they say is true. They are not proof of eye witness testimony. They aren’t proof that any witnesses have accurate testimony. They are not proof of a god. I really do not know why you would believe anything they say.

Here is a top hit: New Scientist: Genes contribute to religious inclination Ok, the problem here with Gadreel and this whole argument is that we are probably arguing oranges with apples, and I am just sick of his holier than thou religious based assertion. The FACTS are that there is NOT even a single gene, a series or collection or ANY type of genetic material linked with religion because you can't isolate what characteristics are true for religion alone. We are therefore discussing an airy fairy group of studies, mostly by sociologists most of whom are probably religious, that 'suggest' that religion runs in families (derp) and certain traits ( which ones?) are possibly having some genetic component because (derp) religion tends to run in families, twin studies not withstanding.( since the main study quoted made an inexcusable error referring to identical fraternal twin DNA) WTF is even religious behaviour? and how could it possibly have a genetic link beyond what is inextricable from the 'nurture' component of families?

I see you are not taking my advice seriously. Since you brought it up...the following is my opinion: 1. I don't know what spiritual blindness means. My view of spirituality has no light and dark only wonderful logic mixed with wonder at the beauty of the natural world. 2. I don't believe in eternal life. I believe that when you die, that is the end, and there is no heaven. Even if there were an 'eternal' life" I would not want one as it is problematic in more ways than I can say. 3. I don't believe in God. I see no need and there is no evidence for the existence of any 'god'.

OK, here are a few hints: I will phrase them as questions for you to answer if you think you know the answers. 1. How old will I be physically in 'heaven'? 2. Will I have my loved ones there? 3. What will I actually do...how will I fill my 'time'? 4. If I die before my children will I have to wait for them? 5. Will all the billions of people already dead be in 'heaven' with me? 6. Will I be reunited with my beloved dogs I have owned? There is nine of them. Cats? 7. Will I still be able to enjoy my hobbies what I love now that make my life worthwhile? my family garden cooking nature walks reading swimming in the ocean etc etc etc … and the big one Will my husband be there and can I have sex in heaven? eat chocolate laugh scratch myself dream reflect on my life...……...

God is inviting us to share Forever with Him. He has a few thing to say about How it will be. these are important concepts we must speak clearly about from scripture. ( i can supply most exacting verse and detail for pages, but i am not a very good typist, so i will give you
more of the condensed version answers for most. - He details in 66 books - old & new testament, the Bible .)
we are composed of a body, a spirit and a soul. when we die we change form from the physical to the spiritual world form.
old things pass away. one of the problems with dying or being dead. while we live, there is time to make a change to believe God. time as we experience it now is a flow one moment to the next. our experience of it in the spiritual realm changes everything then. i will give a few opinions based upon my understanding of what scripture throughout clearly says, implies or alludes to in object lessons.
- we will be in a form with consciousness retained. -
1) we will be instantly changed at the resurrection from the dead - for that time we will be in remembrance of our former lives. 1 Thes 4 :15-17 " we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. For the Lord Himself will descend
from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ shall rise first.
Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall
always be with the Lord."
2) here it may get tough. there are two places. -for believers, it's with the Lord. "absent from the body, present with the Lord". paradise.-
the other place is awaiting judgement before the the final judgement for those who are lost. Rev 20: 11-15 { the sad fact is many will be lost because they refused to believe God.}
3)-7) are answered from Rev chapters 21 & 22 a new heaven and a new earth with a New Jerusalem coming down from heaven from God. for the redeemed, eternal bliss and joy.
the former things have passed away. no more death, tears, sorrow or crying. there will be no more pain. Rev 21 : 4
God knows how to give good gifts to those who love Him. one gift i believe He gives is to take away anything that would keep
us from being eternally happy in heaven. this is a transformed existence in a new form, a spiritual body equipped and adapted
to be in the presence of the Supreme Being Godhead, Father, Son and Holy Spirit in our new Eternal home in heaven.
i plan on being near the throne learning all i can about God. Everything He has ever done forever. All His Works for men
through all time. the complete life of Jesus. the work of the Holy Spirit. physics. quantum and theoretical. Creation. rejoicing.
i'm sure you will find plenty to keep you happy. ( only sadly, there is no marriage in heaven )
''For in the resurrection, they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels of God in heaven." Matt 22 : 30
i like to think God helps us to do whatever then we like in a perfectly happy place forever

Thanks for taking the time to type all that however I am afraid it doesn't answer any of my questions adequately. I don't want to live with God, especially as I believe he/she/it doesn't exist, I want a body like I have to be able to experience stuff, to think and feel and I don't believe in a soul. My body and I are indivisible and co-dependant. I wouldn't be happy without a body and experiences and family and a real natural world, so I choose endless death when my body fails or I die from some other reason. The really cool thing about this solution is that just as I knew nothing before I was born, I will know nothing about this whole process.

The really cool thing about this solution is that just as I knew nothing before I was born, I will know nothing about this whole process. we all have a free will to choose; to believe God or not. we will be in a new spiritual body after the resurrection from the dead. read about heaven before you decide you don't want to be there.
God is under no obligation to make things the way you want them to be. He threw out 1/3 rd of the angels who rebelled in heaven with the fallen angels. that won't happen again.
i wouldn't let Anything keep me out of heaven. especially misunderstandings of what is to Be regardless of whether we believe it or not.
i would carefully read Revelation 21 & 22 before going into eternity.
the bible has all the answers you seek

No, the scriptures are not proof that what they say is true. They are not proof of eye witness testimony. They aren’t proof that any witnesses have accurate testimony. They are not proof of a god. I really do not know why you would believe anything they say. this is why you have to be willing to look at Everything through the lens of God's Word to understand the Eternal Spiritual
invisible realm made known to us. HE is the eyewitness from before in the beginning.
every moment in time present everywhere simultaneously.
past. present. future. eternal.
Genesis to Revelation.
read the self evident Proof. no one is educated who has not read it beginning to end.
i know you are not smarter than God. He has given you the evidence. even here again
no, that is why you should be willing to realize all of that is nonsense

I don't think anyone has made the claim that a gene is linked to any specific religion, that would be like claiming that someone had a specific gene to attract them to another specific individual. Also no one thinks sexual orientation (any more than artistic, musical or linguistic ability) is determined by any single gene. The genetic component would be a collection of genes in all of these cases, and I'd see no reason for receptiveness to religion to be any different. It's not hard to google "scientific study of genetics and religious behavior". Here is a top hit: New Scientist: Genes contribute to religious inclinationOk, the problem here with Gadreel and this whole argument is that we are probably arguing oranges with apples, and I am just sick of his holier than thou religious based assertion. If you had read the New Scientist article, you would have read of the experiment where identical twins were compared with fraternal twins and a statistically significant difference was observed in comparing the two groups. We're talking about a genetic component to a predisposition to a certain type of behavior. It is commonly known and uncontroversial that offspring often have personalities and behavior similar to a parent, often with one sibling having traits after the father and another after the mother, suggesting a genetic cause rather than nurture. In my view there is a whole host of irrational behavior that can be a part of the make up of a person's personality: tendency to humor, tendency to acting, and yes, tendency to superstition, with good reason to suspect a genetic component. It would be fair to state that scientific evidence is inconclusive at this point, but not that there is no evidence.
